I was taken aback by this beautiful venue. We went to see Paul Weller. Parking was exceptionally easy in the stunning woods. Using the facilities was a breeze! There felt like there was lots of space for all. The stage nestled in amongst differently coloured wonderful old trees. Everyone was very kind. I loved it here. I thought it was absolutely stunning. 😍

Lovely place, loads of parking, great cafe even with vegan choices, friendly staff and lovely quiet walks with the dogs in beautiful surroundings. Was just disappointed that the start of the walking routes isn't obvious and that more attention goes on the cycling trails. Even with the map it took us a while to work out where to go to start, which didn't help that the information wasn't open even after 09:30. Every sign point we looked at was for the cycling so maybe another part of the forest is better for dog walks?

We love high lodge! Great walks in the woods with lots of benches along the way. The heritage walk is nice with wind-up sound boards with local history and nature info. The play areas are really good with big slides, and we love the sound and music trail - there’s lots of different instruments to try. We’ve done Go Ape based here in the past and that’s really fun too. It’s lovely year round. Parking can be a bit expensive but if you arrive on foot or bike it’s free and membership is a good deal.
