I got a 1 hour air rifle instruction for Xmas my son who is 11 years old and myself were greeted by Oliver wilde our instructor fantastic guy who explained how the guns worked how to handle them safely nothing was to much trouble he was so patient with my son who was a little nervous to start I already own a air rifle and I'm now purchasing one for my son to use on the rifle range I can't recommend this place enough and the staff go above and beyond Massive well done high lodge we will be back very soon as my son didn't want to leave 🤣

A super shooting ground with over 30 stands throughout a superbly kept woodland. We only had 3 “No birds” out of 500 clays. The clubhouse and shop staff were polite, friendly and very helpful. I would definitely recommend. The only thing that could improve the experience is a few more gun racks. We were surprised at how many stands had nowhere to stand your beloved shotgun. But overall it’s one of the best shooting grounds in the UK.

High Lodge is a great place, John Bidwell is one of the nicest guys you could ever meet BUT the reception desk is one of the worst places you could ever want to go as a customer! On a previous visit our group of 4 shooters were dealt with poorly, being spoke to as if we were an inconvenience to the person booking us in, we were not happy and the person’s attitude was an unpleasant talking point throughout the day. Today we decided to try High Lodge again thinking perhaps that person was just having a bad day, after all the shooting at High Lodge is great, but today we were treated worse than previously! The reception person is rude, totally unprofessional in dealing with customers and is bringing the reputation of High Lodge down. We were so disgusted we left and drove to Eriswell Lodge to shoot, a further 1.5hrs journey but so worth it! Yes we told people there how we were treated at High Lodge and other shooters said they’d experienced something similar. Please sort this issue of poor front desk customer service out soon or you will start to lose customers, we will be avoiding the place for now and I’m sad about that, but I’m not shooting at place that treats me like dirt!
