Went for a round this morning, travelled over from Scarborough. Couldn't have picked a better day weather wise, a 4 ball teed off in front of us ( 2ball) and the pace of play was great, we waited for them to clear the first green then we were a hole behind all round. The greens are in superb condition though a touch faster than I am used to, this isn't a criticism as I liked the fast greens, they ran true too which was great. The gentleman in the club shop was very friendly and even a workman who was near the putting green had some advice for us regarding the course which was nice. Fairways were also in great condition. I'd say its a challenging course, especially with the blind shots you have to hit. I'd like to think I'd shoot a better score next time I come now I have a rough idea of where the best misses are. All in all I would definitely recommend people try this course out. It's probably a little different to what you are used to.

Very impressed with Hickleton GC. Friendly members and staff. Course in great condition, greens mint for this time of year. Quite hilly but walked easily. Worth playing here for sure, will be back sometime hopefully.

Friendly person in the clubhouse. I'd never played the course before so was eager to give it a try. Heard that it is very hilly and tough with a high slope rating. Right from the first hole it was clear that the course was very sticky after the winter and recent rain. It was difficult to strike the ball cleanly without a chunk of mud coming with it. Then it started to rain and continued for the rest of the round. I imagine that when it dries out it will be beautiful and a tough physical challenge especially for seniors like me. Will be happy to play it again in a couple of months when the weather is better.

Fantastic course, facilities, and staff, the only thing that let it down for us was that it was very boggy and fairway mats should have been in play. We will be back when the course is a bit dryer.

On behalf of Killamarsh golf society Our group spent the day with you yesterday (Sunday 26th March 2023) The course had suffered with lots of rain over the last few weeks but this had no bearing on the day as the course was well prepared and in good condition for an early winter event. The course has a fantastic layout that all levels of golfer can enjoy. The clubhouse pro shop is well stocked and the bar area is modern and the staff are very friendly. The Pro Luke Allen was very accomodating and looked after us all on the day, I've personally had golf lessons with Luke who is superb, Give him a try you won't regret it. Very friendly staff. Fantastic value for money at £25 on a Friday. Course in great condition considering the rain we have had this week. Lots of holes with dog legs and up or down into the greens. Will definitely be back.

Played today with friends and throughly enjoyed it. Most courses we have played recently were on temporary greens, and boggy fairways, non of that at Hickleton and the greens are in great condition given the poor weather we have had. Staff were helpful and friendly Booked again for next week
