Having enjoyed eating at Hicce and admiring Pip Lacey I had high hopes for this newish place in my friend's neighbourhood. We went for Sunday lunch and it was ok but quite disappointing given it could be so much better with a few tweaks. We all had the beef and the quality of the meat was clear but it was underseasoned and luckily I remembered to say that one of us prefers well done. I loved how it was cooked but when serving beef more on the rare side than medium it would be better to check with clients. Pretty much everything was underseasoned. The veg were undercooked, yes you want a bite but these were too close to raw. The Yorkshire pud had far too much egg. And we didn't like the fact that most of the options if you take 2 courses work out cheaper than the '2 course £30 option' but you have to explicitly specify for them to charge you in this way, it just felt a bit dishonest and why irritate clients in this way. This could be a great place but it wasn't so busy on a Sunday lunch which seems telling so I hope they take on board some of the reasonable feedback being given here

The worst Sunday Roast.!! Never again. I am sure the potatoes were frozen., meat dreadful. Could not chew any meat off the ribs. It seems, that the bad reviews are being removed.!! Not good.!!!
