    I have been a patient at Heybridge Dental Practice for approximately 28 years and, in that time, until Christopher Roome retired, my family and I have always received a 5 star service. Unfortunately, the new Practice Policy appears to be mainly about making money, by suggesting unnecessary cosmetic dentistry, and by removing patients from the list whilst offering to re-register them as a private patient. I wasn't allowed to book my 6 monthly check-up in advance during the pandemic, and have now been told that I can only re-register as a private patient. I've been out of the country for a while, visiting my daughters and grandchildren that I couldn't see for 2 years owing to closed borders in WA Australia. I've returned to find that I'm no longer registered with a dentist. I am totally unimpressed.

    Very positive experience today with HDP - Before going to HDP I had experienced some discomfort with another hygienist, so it had taken me some time to build up my courage again to jump into a dentists chair! Today I had a Hygienist appointment with Nina ( Who had been recommended to me by my wife ) - I can honestly say from the minute I walked in the room my mind was put to rest, and I'm so pleased with the end result.     All well initially, my son had toothache and eye infection, teeth were fine but Dentist was more concerned with swollen eye!! Then at 8:30pm same evening I had 2 police officers and a social worker on my door step as the dentist had made a complaint that that my son was in danger!!!! No bruises were visible to him and this was over a eye infection!!! My son has Autism and I'm scared because of this I'll never get him back to a dentist again! I'm disgusted!!

    Took my disabled wife in on an emergency on Friday the week before Easter and was seen by a very nice yoyng lady who prescribed anti biotics after a thourough examination including the neccessary x rays, went to the desk and asked for an aproximate cost for extraction wkich was qoted as a private appointment, I was told there would be a £40 booking fee making a total of £180 for the extraction? As I myself am a disabled pensioner I iasked the receptionis if a budget of £200 would be in the ball park and was told yes. Still my wife was in agony so the appointment was made, on the day of the appointment we arrived and my wife was called in, this is where things started to go wrong, first of all I offered to pay the extraction while my wife was in with the dentist and was then told that payment would be taken at the end of treatment; after nearly half an hour my wife came out of the dentists and I asked how it had gone? She informed me the dentist had not extracted the tooth as he had not got time? I noticed that she was holding a prece of paper that she was reluctant to show me, she gave me the paper after a little persuasion and it was an estimate for extra dental work totalling over £500, so as far as I was concerned the dentist had charged me £40 for his sales pitch and did not carry out the extaction that he was contracted to do and left my disabled wife in agony all over the Easter holidays, we have decided to aproach another dental practice as we feel we were let down very badly.i
