A wonderful, warm and hospitable church where the everlasting gospel of Jesus Christ is preached clearly and faithfully. HPC is a new church plant in the EPCEW denomination and seeks to bring the good news of salvation in Christ to the Tyne Valley. The church subscribes to the Westminster Standards and the worship is reverent and joyful. Psalms and hymns are sung in a simple style that emphasises the truth being expressed, without reliance on showy entertainment. As with all EPCEW churches, the most important aspect of corporate worship is the preaching. The Bible's teaching and its historic reformed interpretation forms the core of the message, applied to the lives of believer and unbeliever alike. Whereas many churches today are pursuing a liberal and 'progressive' agenda, HPC boldly stands for the truth at a time when few want to hear it.
