Before you read - please remember this is just my experience. It may have been a one-off, so please also consider others' opinions. However I have SO many issues with their service, I felt compelled to write this review. I would never recommend, and would give zero stars if i could. I'm going to give a lot of detail, so TL;DR - I was charged £500 for work that i didn't ask for, I was told that the car was dangerous to drive due to a broken brake booster (the car has never had a brake booster - see attached invoice and Google 'elise 111s' to confirm...) and the car came back (after 7 weeks) with a broken and reset odometer which was only repaired after a HUGE amount of complaining. The long read. Background: I've had a long running idle problem with my 2005 lotus elise 111s. While trying some new sensors I ended up with the car not sustaining it's own idle. I dropped the elise off with Bill who was friendly enough. Discussed problem. After 7 weeks (!) I could finally pick it up. When i picked it up, it still wouldn't sustain it's idle without help. The long running problem was not fixed, but i was told it was due to a vacuum leak in the brake booster. In fact, i was told that the car was dangerous because the brake booster wasn't working at all - they urged me not to drive away in it. However, the car never had a brake booster, it does not have assisted brakes at all. On the phone i was told that i was wrong, rudely, and called back after an hour when they verified i was right (although the owner, Bill, did not take responsibility and made a mechanic call me). I was charged a total of £500. The original problem remained. The breakdown was this: 2x £120 hr labour for a car inspection (did not ask for) 1x £120 hr labour for a brake fluid change (not related to problem) 1x £120 hr labour for a tps sensor swap (i can do this swap in <2mins - 2 bolts accessible from boot) The very, very worst part is that when i got in the car, the odometer was reset! When i brought this up with bill, he claimed the car came like that (nope). After arguing over email for 2 months (with constantly changing stories) they did finally fix the problem. If you aren't car savvy, i would recommend that you are very careful with the advice given by this garage.
