This is the 3rd time I've used Hesfords over the years.Yard staff are friendly and accomadating. It's a bonus to stay overnight if required with electric at a good rate. Not much you can't get in the chandelery tho this time I didn't need anything. Went back in early which was not a problem. Great food and drink in the Barn Owl pub right next door (so no driving). Only 1 drawback. I wasn't informed beforehand there were no waterproofs available when using the pressure washer ( had been in the past) coz of Covid restrictions, (understandable) which meant I got a soaking as I wasn't prepared for that. Suggest if customers hire the washer for their own use then inform to bring waterproofs. Other than a small moan, would always use again. Thanks.. ps. the price is right too.:)

Booked in to have my narrowboat taken out on the slipway so I could black below the waterline. Got hesfords to powerwash for me and they did a fantastic job. Every member of the team couldn’t help enough. i was booked out for 2 weeks and managed to finish the job early. I requested to be relaunched early and no sooner had I asked I was back floating. A great price stand great people. I will definitely recommend and I will be returning when I need dry docking again.

This was the second time we have used Hesford Marine and we was as satisfied this time as we was the first. This is the Ideal place for liveaboards to DIY black there boats (although Hesford's will do it for you). You can live on the boat if you are outside which compared with most marina boat sheds, this is not allowed because of fire risks. But your boat will be outside and your restricted to the weather so book for the summer or just book a couple of extra days if you are concerned. The yard is also dog friendly. The chandlery is very well stocked for your boat repairs etc . This a working boat yard. Great for boat blacking the boat comes out on an 18inch trolley the ideal height. The yard also incorporates an engineering workshop so any machining or welding/fabrication can be catered for. They also have two modern weatherproof sheds for full repaints etc . I also found out they carry out sandblasting for 2 pack blacking. The best bit after an hard days work you can visit the local pub with great food etc only 30 seconds away when you walk out of the yard's bottom gate. A local convenience store is 30 minutes walk away. Finally all the chandlery and office staff are very friendly and helpful . The yard staff both Darren and Dan were absolutely brilliant, with Dan showing me around the yard for electric plug in and showing me the bins for refuse/waste etc. So once again thank you Hesford's we'll see you for blacking in two years time. nb Four Goldens

When I wanted to move a narrow boat I had just purchased fromm the Bridgewater Canal to the Kennet and Avon, near my home I really struggled to find hauliers and a crane service who could help me. Thank goodness I telephoned Aileen at Hesfords marine who held my hand throughout the process and arranged everything perfectly. I'm very grateful, they were truly a pleasure to deal with and I would highly recommend them to anyone
