That said, Karen Stainer, who is apparently responsible for Underletting and Change of Ownership, stands out as a real people person - very tenacious and anxious to please. I am very grateful to Caroline White of HES Estate Management for fighting my corner when a contractor did a shoddy job outside the house I rent out on small estate. The problem was rectified within three days to my satisfaction, just hours before new tenants moved in. When the trustees on my estate contracted out management function early this year I feared that a professional outfit would not have the same commitment to the estate as the local trustees had. But HES’s support in my dispute and their recent drive to crack down on residents littering have reassured me that there is still an overarching eye on the estate and that everything will be maintained to a high standard.
