When i gave back car - no one had time to make a report with me. later they said there are some dents on wheel and tire. why do you not take time to make report. i do not accept your charges because i didnt make any damages to it !

Very poor service. They overcharge my too elderly parents for damage on their rental car that didn’t happen. They now have to waste hours of their time trying to sort it out. Highly disappointed in hertz. Update - Hertz has responded and told me to reach out to them. So far I haven’t been able to get a hold of anyone and no one has returned my calls or emails. Months later this issue is still ongoing. Judging from the comments this is a repeated issue. They don't respond. They say one thing on the phone but send an email saying something else.

Long time Hertz renter. First bad experience. They charged me 35 pound fee for excessive cleaning after a 6 week rental. The photo they sent me to justify the cleaning is attached. I asked for specifics regarding what cleaning the 6 week rental included and what the special cleaning would actually be. My email was ignored. Would not rent from Hertz Stansted again - beware they will charge for normal useage / wear and tear. Will dispute charge with credit card co.

Bad experience once again. At pick up the car was dirty - ok, no problem for me, I'm not picky. I returned the car and it was inspected as ok..."all good Sir" Now, 3 weeks later I get a bill for a tire damage (225 pounds). The "evidence" photos shows the car in a different space and with more mileage than when I left. I recommend to use one of the other rental services in the same location.

More then 2weeks my deposit didn't release yet online chat they said it will be in 30days but policy said the money will be hold on pending but on my bank they cut off money, for no reason they gave Stansted hertz is scam i have all photos before and after drop of car but still they just hang me around , very bad experience

Would completely avoid Hertz Stansted - we showed up 15 minutes after our pickup time and the counter was closed. We tried calling them before explaining that we are running slightly late but didn’t get through to the station but also assumed that they would wait at least 30 minutes for us, as all of their competitors do. After contacting Hertz customer service we got told that the representative left 5 minutes after our arranged pickup time. This is unbelievable and does not reflect the customer service they should provide, which all of their competitors do provide. We ended up having to rent a car with Sixt on the spot, who were great and friendly, but their car ended up costing 3 times that of Hertz. This was a trip for Valentine’s Day and Hertz completely destroyed it. Customer service is appalling, they have not even refunded me or offered to cover any other costs we have had to deal with. This was the last time I’ve ever rented with Hertz and my experience could not have been worse, even low budget rental companies wait longer than 5 minutes for their customer at a major transportation hub.
