Having used their service, I was told damages would be done in 'zones' thus no further action was needed on my vehicle before taking it out. I ,fortunately, took pictures but am now being threatened with damages of £600 due to the incompetence of the staff at this branch. Avoid at all costs.

I booked a car online and prepaid by credit card, but did not receive any confirmation of my booking, nor a booking number. On my computer screen, the Hertz website just took me back to the first page to make a booking, but I saw that my bank account had been deducted, so I knew that the payment had been taken. I then contacted Hertz via the "chat" service to check if my booking had been made (they said yes) and I asked them to send me a confirmation of my booking by E-mail, but they then said that this was impossible, as their system did not allow it. What kind of idiotic booking system is unable to send a confirmation by E-mail ? I am totally dissatisfied by the booking service and the pathetic response from the online customer support service.
