I had a very poor experience of Herts Architectural Salvage. I was assured by Lloyd Hampson the owner that the 1100 roofing slates I ordered would be of premium quality and warranted the high asking price. What was actually delivered was a batch of sub standard slates that had multiple holes and cracks and were soft and flakey to the touch. They were not as described and not fit for purpose. By the time I was aware of this the lorry had gone and all subsequent efforts to obtain a refund have met on deaf ears.( I even offered to pay £300 for transport costs). If you don’t want to lose £3370 like I did don’t use this company.
