I purchased a manual wheelchair from these people in February, but an airline damaged my sons chair during travel. Whilst initially they seemed helpful, they informed me it was up to the airline to repair/replace as the damage would not be covered under the warranty. (I question whether this is true) It was only as time went on that I realised that they could not be bothered to help me. I had asked them for a quotation for the repairs as the insurance company at the airline needed this information. After two weeks of ringing and eventually a visit to the market in which it was perfectly clear that the older man didn't want to help me and blatantly fobbed me off, telling me he'd " been busy" , that I went directly to the manufacturer who, within half an hour emailed the needed information (they couldn't have been more helpful). I have now had the matter resolved and the airline replaced my sons chair but I did not purchase the new one from here because although helpful when dealing with the initial purchase are completely nonprofessional with their aftercare. He was more than happy for my son, to go without his wheelchair and for a company that deals with the less mobile and disabled I find this completely unacceptable. I would not recommend this company to anyone and if possible would suggest they shop elsewhere. It has now been over 4 weeks since my request and they have still not contacted me with the quote. Worst customer services I have ever experienced. I would give no stars if i could.

Poor quality of customer care and servicing of mobility equipment. Inadequate at keeping customers informed and charges for work not completed and items with warranty become 'invalid' before the end date. A COMPLETE CON ARTIST!

After my mobility scooter had broke down, I was made to believe that it was no longer of any use and only fit for scrap, they would take it off my hands, great. At the time I was also convinced to purchase one of their own secondhand scooters, which I was assured had brand new batteries installed. Even better I thought, and made the purchase. After only having the scooter for a couple of weeks, this scooter had broke down, so I called Hertfordshire Mobility to help with the problem. They came out to have a look and examine what the problem might be. THE BATTERIES! They had informed me that it was my fault for not correctly charging them. They told me to unplug the charger and only use it when I need to go out. Ok, fine. As it was still under garentee, they informed me they would return with new batteries. They did bring 'new' batteries and told me to keep it plugged in constantly as my charger was a trickle charger. After a couple of uses it had broken down yet again, to which I called them again and I was told the warranty was no longer valid and I needed to buy yet another set of batteries. I said that the batteries should still be under the manufacturer garentee so it shouldn't cost him anything and that I have had an electrical engineer also test my batteries. And ever since they have refused to come and change them, return my calls or deal with my scooter. Also my old scooter which they had told me was no longer of any use and was only fit for scrap was on sale at their stall. I have been put out of pocket by nearly £1500 due to incompetence and sheer conning of elderly ladies like myself. I'm nearly 65 years old and have many health problems to which I rely on a mobility scooter to get me around and can not afford to buy a new one now. I have been conned and left broke.
