Thanks to Peter for quickly passing my contact details on to one of his instructors and getting me going with my lessons at a time when it seemed virtually impossible to start driving (or book a test, for that matter). Malek has been a great instructor in many ways. He is a very likeable person who takes great pleasure in cars and driving. I believe there is method to his instruction: Initially we practised core skills on quiet residential roads. Then, he took me to the busy streets of Elephant and Castle, Kennington and Oval. During the second half of my lessons, we practised in the areas of the two test centres that Malek is affiliated with (Hither Green and West Wickham). When it was time for my test, I felt prepared. If anything, I would have liked for Malek to be a bit more punctual and to not use instruction time for running personal erands (e.g., stopping at shops, visiting car mechanics), which happened on a few occasions. Malek also was on his phone a lot during the lessons, which sometimes made me feel a bit insecure due to the apparent lack of oversight in those moments. Perhaps the solution here is to build a bit of slack time into the instructors' schedules. Malek is cognizant of how overbooked the test system currently is and he always made sure that he and his car were available to learners when they could get their hands on a test. While this may have led to some reshuffling of our regular lesson schedule at times, this is clearly a great benefit to any test taker. On balance, I am happy with my experience with Herne Hill and Malek: I passed my test the first time around!

I had a good teacher for 2 lessons but she had to leave due to personal reasons but then I had a new teacher who was very unprofessional telling me a time and then on the day of the lesson he would change it. He turned up late to the lesson.

Best Instructor ever!!! I passed my test just today... harish is a great instructor would recommend him to anyone who wants to learn how to drive, he makes you feel comfortable and no matter how many times I asked questions Harish will take his time and explain things. I passed my test first attempt with 1 minor!!!!!! Thanks again to Herne Hill driving school. Remembered Harish is the guy!!!

My experience with Herne Hill driving school was very good, my instructor always gave me the correct feedback and the information I needed to always become better at what I needed to, she never rushed me or never was impatient when teaching me and she always gave me chances to correct myself, I was able to pass first time because of the way my instructor taught me , thank you very much muji I appreciate the hard word and effort you put in for me to pass .
