Draconian and extreme in the way they manage car parks. They have an army of jobsworths that will slap a fine on you minutes before the restrictions are lifted so that if you park just before, they will go for you. You are then left with no ability to prove you had only just arrived, forcing you to pay. Be extremely careful with this lot, there is no humanity, only technicality and process. Perhaps time to vote Labour to re-introduce the importance of people over money and profit…And the importance of respecting mental health and wellbeing.

Rubbish council to deal with, they outsource contracts to cheapest companies, waste tax payers kittie for the local economy and basic running of services. When you complain they think there above the law or society. If you plan of working living or moving to hereford areas, avoid..... Stuck here over 12 years cant wait to move out. Rats seagull, drunks and homelessness sleeping in doorways, waste collection when ever they like, with more potholes than Nigeria. They eveb took me to courth for a parking fine once without my acknowledgement what is in brach to the human rights act 1989, luckily i squashed there bogus claim with relitive ease but a whole lot of harassment duren the process. All in all i would avoid buying or moving a Herefordshire town. The same goes for owners of business as they will charge you an arm and leg for the rent and tax rates.

Really bad service. Sent in my application for council tax rebate ten weeks ago before the deadline and they treated me as if I haven't done it before the deadline and sent it to my ctax account. So now have to wait for them to send a letter so I can update my details to do it all again!! When they want money very quick to hound people for it.

i have lived in Hereford for 10 years, the council is a shambles they are a complete and utter joke.we had some Americans over last month and they were shocked by the state of the place, litter everywhere, its such a shame as we all agreed it could be a beautiful place, its not just me though that says there is a problem with this woeful council.just look at the reviews. The whole council needs a shake up,when councils fail like this one clearly does its time for westminster to take direct action.

They employ Balfour Beatty - what more can I say. They're not even up to cleaning the streets as apparently they don't have enough staff. Find a contractor who does and sack BB for breach of contract. Alternatively bring the services back in house where people are accountable.
