We had so much fun doing this. We did a half day and were delighted to find we were allowed to paddle down river at our own pace. They set us up to go and reassured us but then we were off! They were so easy going and friendly, we'd absolutely come again.

On behalf of my wife and I, we would like to express our gratitude to Sam and the team for managing our two day booking, completing safety instructions and guidance and ensuring we had a good number of visible landmarks to look out and be aware of. We felt like we were in good hands. The facilities on site we're good, although we would suggest you check out the shops opening hours to avoid disappointment, the thought of a nice hot drink or a bite to eat is something to look forward after a days exciting paddling, but as with all things, the team does have to go home. We did speak to Sam about a five day trek we have planned across Scotland and he was happy to provide us both with solid practical advice and recommendations, we would recommend Hereford Kayak and Canoes to others, many thanks David & Vera.

The company was very adaptable to our needs at short notice and the staff were really helpful, kind and considerate. I fully rate this comapny to hire from. Amazing couple of hours paddling about! We have SUP’d before but never on a river so we were feeling a bit nervous but the Wye was so calm and easy to paddle, the boards were pretty much brand new and we were given life jackets, and a full briefing beforehand. The only thing I would say it was quite busy when we were getting off the boards and it’s quite steep so you have to be careful when getting off your board. I would recommend asking for a dry bag from the team and taking some water and snacks so you can stop on your paddle and enjoy the lovely views and peace on the water!

Not very good on communication at base,just in you go and told meet at concrete steps second bridge?never been on that stretch of river before so ended on wrong side of river to finish 🙈,got back in canoe&kayaks to the rowing club,asked staff he said this is where we always finish?(never been🤷)!not helpful at all!won't be using them again.apart from the poor communication we had a blast on the river, beautiful,calm,nice and sunny too😁...just a shame when finished as it was stressful.

We did Bredwadine to Bycross. They were really helpful. It's very handy to do this section as you come back to their 'base' and they are there to get the canoes out of the water. I don't know what happens if you finish your canoeing at a different spot. Make sure you find out, as there were other canoeists who had gone with different companies and pulled their own canoes out of the river, which is a tricky job. We didn't have to. The whole process was really easy, and very enjoyable. The Wye is beautiful there and it's much quieter than Symonds Yat end.
