Firstly, I want to note that I have emailed Speights several times following our move at Easter, but have had no reply. We were really disappointed that the team (2 lads) didn’t arrive until 9am, half an hour late, and we were left wondering if we had been scammed. No one was answering the office phone and so we were extremely anxious. Finally got a call from Dave, shortly after 9am, telling us the reason (another vehicle had to be hired), but a simple phone call would have really helped. This late start also had a knock on effect.... We trusted that the lads knew how long it would take (we took them through the rooms so they could visualise it all), but when our solicitor called at approx. 11am to ask if we would be able to vacate the property soon, we were nowhere near ready. At this point we were informed that we were legally obliged to be out of the property by 1.30pm - the lads estimated that they would be finished packing up by 2pm. My husband and I knew we would have to help move contents if we were to get anywhere near this deadline. This was tiring, and certainly not what I expected to have to do. After midday, another team came to help – but we were not told this! Again, another instance of a lack of communication that would have saved a lot of stress. We finally left the property at 2.15pm. I apprecaite moving is stressful, but just needed to communicate to us! The lads that were moving our belongings were really good - and took care of them. So I would not recommend Speights to anyone who might not be able to pitch in and help - certainly not what I thought I was paying for!

Speight’s made the whole experience of house moving as stress free as it is possible to be, even though there were several problems along the way, not caused by them. The men were polite, helpful and kind . Everything was moved carefully and was well packed, causing least damage to precious items. Good value for money . I would recommend them to anyone.

Used Speights for our removal on the 1st April , absolutely outstanding service , three young men , Lewis , Bailey and Elliott so friendly, professional and knowledgeable, they just couldn’t do enough for us , we were dreading moving it’s so stressful but these young men went above and beyond to make it as easy as possible we would recommend them to anyone .
