Updated. I went back to the post office this week and really pleased to see and feel a real change. I was greeted as a came in and told I could send a parcel from the front shop counter to avoid the main queue. What a great idea! The front of the post office was bright and welcoming with lots of snacks and frontals etc. a real step change :) I have just been into the post office and see a very welcome change. The new owner is enthusiastic, friendly and full of optimism and drive to improve our post office. I have to say, In the past I have avoided it as found it so depressing. I hope Jenny now gets the support she so deserves and will happily update this review with the expectation that things will continue to improve under new ownership.

This week I braced myself for the post office. I make sure I’m in good spirits, feeling extra patient and in a state of zen, because this place usually tests every ounce of patience. What a surprise I got! The new couple who have taken it over are lovely!!! The place was clean and tidy, the queue moved quickly and I was even greeted with a smile and helpful service!!! thank you thank you for taking this place over!!!!

Efficient and friendly, this post office has always helped me. Even through staff shortages, it was open. Now with new members and help the long queues have gone and it’s a breeze. Thank you throughout the years for being there!

Probably the worst post office I've seen. The old lady called Jenny behind the counter is incredibly slow and talks way too much. 45 minutes to deal with one parcel? No thank you. Please sort this place out and get a new staff.

Being aware of the strikes and how this Post Office has always struggled with demand and number of staff, this is still the primary place to send parcels via Royal Mail in Henley. The Royal Mail office is open for one or two hours a day and the collection service now offered is unreliable. I'm leaving a negative review because it takes no time at all to update Google to say you're closed or at the very least put a note on the door explaining why. I bumped into a number of people today hoping to use the Post Office on a non strike day. It's freezing outside. I suggest this Post Office needs to get much much better at communicating to it's community. I'm also really interested to know why staffing has been such an ongoing issue here? I know loads of people who'd love to work at a Post Office.

Went there today - 45 minute queue. Once member of staff even locked the door to stop the queuegrowing, with no explanation or note to people trying to get in. Just very understaffed. Speaking to someome in the queue this is very regular and almost always at least 30 minute queue which is unacceptable from a main the Royal Mail post office in a busy town. This is not a reflection of the staff behind the counter, who were doing their best. The one member of staff in the shop was rude and had zero customer service or interest

Ridiculous hours, if you work a 9-5 this post office is useless.
