I have the unfortunate event of entering care homes on a regular basis to bring loved ones who have past away into our care. The compassion, care and professionalism I have witnessed by all the members of staff I have had contact with; has been exceptional. The care home is tidy, all policies and procedures are adhered to and all staff are so friendly and polite. Thank you for making my job run smoothly. Andrew Johnston Cooperative Funeralcare

Would not reccomend this Carehome. Would not give one star but had to, to give review. Very poor care given to residents, would not put my dog in there. Dad was there for almost 3 years and has the years went on you could see a decline in members of staff and the e care needed. Dad had vascular dementia and was registered blind. He went from been a big heavy man to weighing 8 stone as no support given to him at mealtimes. He had many water infections and bad falls. On one occasion we went to see dad after a fall and it was almost teatime and when we went in to his room he was drenched in urine and the smell was unbearable. Staff said they could not wake him so they had left him. Dad went with no breakfast and dinner and no change of bedding and clothes and that was after him having been at hospital the night before with head injury. On an other occasions i found Dad on the floor myself while the 3 members of staff were sat in the office unaware. The only staff member you saw doing anything was a lady called Tracy. After having a meeting at the hospital with the Manager of Hemsworth park care home she was clearly unaware of what goes on in own carehome, that she is responsible for. Glad we put safegarding in place at the hospital on his last fall to stop dad going back there. I feel for all the other residents that are still there. Happy to report Dads in another care home now and he is putting weight back on and getting the best care he needs.
