It's disappointing. There are many great places for afternoon tea in Leeds, and our expectations were high. But the service was just 'okay' and nowhere near what it should be. Dirty, chipped teacups, no explanation of what was being served for our afternoon tea, long wait times (despite being very quiet) and a worn, outdated look and feel to the place. It reminds me of an old cafe from the 90s - but not in a good way. There's things you can improve that would make an immediate difference. Wash your cutlery/cups, set tables rather than handing it out like you're at Wetherspoons. Don't have sugar sachets, it's cheap. Explain what you're serving when you give people afternoon tea. And those red tables... Straight out of 1990.

Stale overpriced cakes, staff seemed unbothered, the strawberry tart and the blueberry slice tasted like it was made a week in advance, no real flavour just sugary.

Lovely Afternoon tea with my husband today, I had a Groupon bought as a gift! Plenty of food and unlimited coffee, even had to bring some home! We had a lovely girl serve us and nothing was too much trouble.

Needs some form of management as it has none at the moment,seat people then leave them waiting at there tables to take there orders while serving people coming in to buy products and take them away.Nobody wants to wait 25 minutes to be served cake and drinks.From Damon Moffatt.

Had been given a voucher to use for afternoon tea so chose to visit the PV in Leeds city centre. I had envisaged that I was going somewhere more opulent and it most definitely wasn't opulent. On entering it was obvious that the property is in need of some TLC, a lick of paint and some investment. The chairs and tables were of a cafeteria type and certainly not what I had expected. The two staff were pleasant but seemed a little stressed and up against it and could have done with another member of staff. The food served was nothing special. Thankfully we had the voucher and I would have been absolutely gutted to have paid the full asking price for what we received.

Great service by all the attentive staff who were helpful and sincere. Afternoon tea using a third party gift voucher was accepted without the usual issues you get with these things. Items were fresh and scones were warm the drinks kept coming can't really fault anything apart from the wonky table!!! Will definitely go ago and would 100% recommend. Thanks.

It's cake!! Despite top bosses don't know how to deal with finances the staff are excellent as well as the cake. Tend to go regular when in the city for a treat ♥️ As much as it's pricey still quality tea and cake, people don't realise it's cost to pay for rent, bills, wages etc and the staff were smiley and friendly, no pressure to go and shoo you out of the door. Lovely place indeed
