We have just had a drone roof survey by a local man called Bob from HeliDrone Surveys. We have several leaks from our roof at the moment and we needed to know exactly what and where the problems were. The great thing about a roof drone survey is that you don't need to use expensive scaffolding and you can get a really close inspection of every part of the roof. Bob was very friendly and engaging and endlessly patient as we asked lots of questions! He took the time to carefully explain the whole process to us. After our roof survey we quickly received over 100 high resolution excellent quality images and a video. All I could say when I saw the images was ‘Oh my goodness!’ The survey showed us exactly where and what our roof issues are and it has been invaluable to see for ourselves. It also gives us confidence that we won't get scammed by rouge roofers in the future as we now know exactly what needs to be repaired. Bob was really professional yet approachable and he took the time to give us exactly what we asked for. Boring background first, we needed to get quotes for the leaking dormers. Few roofers wanted to put up scaffolding front and rear just to give a quote. So the brains of operation 'dormer repair', me, got on google and found Bob's website. A few days later after the ice had melted and the winds calmed, Bob was round doing what he does. He knew what I needed but still showed me the live feed to see if there was anything else I needed. 1 day later, received a link to all photos and videos. Very good quality footage. Now we just need to find a roofer.. Bob if you could only fix the roof as well I would give you 10/10, but seeing as you can't, you only get 5/5... He's nice guy as well. Takes his tea with milk and one sugar.

I did some work experience with Heli Drones on a few different occasions now and find their work excellent and informative for any roof survey inspections. Very interesting to see how those drones work and how great those 4K cameras are especially at picking up the little details so quickly. It also fascinates me how those drones have acquired the technology to be able to connect to all nearby satellites in the specific area they are surveying. The satellites allow the drone to be more stabilised which is extremely useful in windy conditions. This was an amazing work experience opportunity and thank you to Bobby for making it possible!!
