I truly adore Helena! Not only are her make up skills incredible but as a person, you are instantly drawn to her. I had found her following a web search but sadly she was booked already, thankfully for me, a trial she had planned got moved and I sent my deposit before she could finish emailing me. Helena did make up for myself, MOB and MIL and we were each blown away with our final looks. You will instantly fall in love with Helena and her fun personality, you have been warned!

Helena is an incredible makeup artist and a great person! She makes you feel at ease and as someone who doesn't know sweet FA about make up she made me feel really comfortable when making decisions. I am quite self conscious so it was invaluable for me to feel good on my big day and I was glowing all day! She's great and I wouldn't ever have anyone else to do my make up now as I trust her 100% to make me glow and look natural but glam. The minute I came across Helena’s instagram, I knew she was the make up artist for me! It was everything I was looking for and she definitely delivered for both my mum & I. Helena is a great communicator so from the moment you book her, you know you’re in good hands. Despite the snow falling in March 2023, Helena made the hour journey over to my parents house for the trial and it was a total success. Mum & I both loved our make up for the big day. I’ve had some negative experiences with MUAs in the past, but Helena made me feel beyond beautiful. I got so many compliments about my make up, and it lasted all day. Helena is quite simply an absolute dream!! I gave her my inspiration picture and she recreated it to perfection at my trial - with so many alternative options given and so many colours to choose from! I have greasy skin and Helena advised me to wear it through to the night and highlight any problem areas that she could action on the day. I was able to go home take loads of pictures and then give any feedback on what I wanted changed (only more blusher - can't get enough of the stuff!!). On the actual day she was so amazing to have around the morning of and it was like having another friend with you! She put up with the chaos and constant swearing and kept so calm throughout. All my BM's and my mum looked absolutely beautiful and they were all so chuffed with their make up too. I felt amazing on the day and so confident and grease free right up until it was time to go to bed! I even kept my lashes on for the next day!! Helena did the make up for my sisters wedding, if you need more convincing (I was BM and it was the first time I'd had my make up done professionally and it was such a lush experience!). As soon as we had a potential date for the venue, Helena was the first person I emailed to make sure she could actually do the date before confirming! If you are getting married / need dolling up for an event, look no further than Helena, you won't be disappointed, she is so talented and will make you feel like a 10/10. I was lucky enough to have Helena for my wedding and she is truly the most incredible make up artist and person! From the moment I made the enquiry for our wedding date, to meeting Helena for the first time at my make up trial it was the easiest and loveliest experience. She immediately put me at ease about my skin imperfections with her kind words, wealth of knowledge, and experience. At the trial we discussed all things weddings, dogs, tea preferences and just had a really lovely chat! I came away feeling nothing short of incredible and so excited for the big day. On my wedding morning Helena did my 3 bridesmaids, my Mum and myself. All of us were over the moon with our make up, so much so that one of my bridesmaids is now hoping to book Helena for her own wedding next year!!! She took the time to get to know how we all like our make up day to day, any preferences and how it would normally last. Where do I start with this fantastic human, from the moment I met Helena (3 years ago, thanks covid) she was so down to earth and put my mind at ease straight away, chatting away about everything came at ease. Not typically knowing much about make up I wanted a natural but noticeable look, and that's exactly what Helena did, throughout the trial we changed it up a bit, but nothing was too much trouble and the finished look was amazing, she really pays attention to what you do and don't want and makes knowledgeable suggestions if you're unsure. She takes so much pride in what she does and makes you feel amazing. On the day itself Helena slotted right in with the bridal party chatting away and she did a fantastic job on myself and 3 bridesmaids, we had compliments all day, and the most important thing was that it stayed in place right up until the end. From the moment Helena replied back to my email asking if she was available to do my make up, I knew she was the one for me. Any questions were always answered in detail, any suggestions she had were like she was in my head guessing what I wanted. Helena did mine, my mom's and 3 of my bridesmaids make up, and spruced my little flower girl up with a bit of blusher and lip gloss. When we had our trials the make up was perfect, but some how on the day Helena made it even better, she listens and takes pride in her work which when I was walking down the Isle I felt like a million dollars proves how good she is. There were no panda eyes, no sweaty streaky blusher lines at the end of the night, we all looked as amazing as what we did 14 hours earlier. Helena is an angel. If you’re looking for a wedding MUA, look no further than Helena. Not only is she incredible at her job, she’s a real joy to have around on the morning of your wedding. We loved having her there and she’s such a fun and calming presence. At my trial, she instantly got the look I wanted (I wanted to look like “me” but also, like the best version of “me” possible) and knew what to change up to make sure my makeup lasted all day. And it certainly did last!
