I have only positive things to say about my experience at Helena Fortley and would wholeheartedly recommend! I went there because I wanted to try on a specific wedding dress they had after a first fitting elsewhere where they did not have it. Sally (owner) picked a couple of other dresses and I ended up not buying the one I went there for. From the first phone call to the selection and all fittings afterwards, I felt in such good hands with Sally and Anna (independent seamstress working with them). It felt almost like going to see family, which was especially lovely because I went by myself for most appointments with my mum and my maid of honour living too far away. I bought my dress at the end of February 2022, it arrived in June for my wedding in October. Anna was absolutely brilliant altering my dress around my 6 month bump without making it look like a maternity dress and was overall super patient with my indecision regarding wanting to add sleeves to the dress. I absolutely loved the end result and was so comfortable all day. I was actually so sad to only be wearing this beautiful dress for one day in my life.

The most amazing bridal experience I could ask for. This was the first place I tried on a fabulous selection of Enzoani gowns on a whim as it was close by on my own. The second dress I tried was my dream dress. I then tried several London boutiques which either didn't have anything in my size/style etc and all I could think about was the beautiful Enzoani Phoebe gown. I soon booked in and visited with my mum and Sally got me booked in. Tears all round. The team are so accommodating, have a great range of dresses and cater to all price points. Anna works magic with the tailoring and the dress for like a dream. I felt like a princess on the day of my wedding. Thank you SO much Sally and Anna for making my dress dreams a reality

Sally is so welcoming, warm and kind, and has been so supportive with my wedding journey over the pandemic. Anna’s seamstress talents are another level - she makes the impossible possible and has made every fitting so memorable and fun. I just had an appointment at Helena Fortley and Sally was so lovely and helpful it really made me feel at ease. They have a lovely selection of dresses, a variety of shapes and materials so you can get a real feel for what is best for you. Most importantly they have quite a few dresses in a size 16 or above so that i didnt have to always 'imagine' what the dress was going to look like.

Having sadly experienced poor customer service from another bridal store, I called Sally and immediately she put me at ease. Thankfully the team at Helena Fortley managed to turn everything around for me fairly quickly which meant I could still get married in my dream dress and continue with the wedding planning on a positive one, and for this I’ll always be forever grateful! During the lead up to the wedding I was introduced to the wonderful Anna who tailored my dress and wow what a difference it made! Anna is extremely talented, and her dedication to make sure the dress was nothing but perfect was so remarkable. Despite making a few large alterations to the dress I still felt like I was in the safest of hands and had nothing to worry about.
