Phoned to enquire about towbar. Was asked about universal electrics or dedicated wiring. When I asked the difference I was told the rear sensors would still beep when reversing, with universal which didn't bother me so I booked it in. I arrived on the morning for the fitter to recommend dedicated at a further £210. when I said I was not bothered about the sensors beeping the lady in the office asked if I had city parking, which I do. I was then informed I would need dedicated electrics at further cost or I would not be able to reverse my caravan which is insane. My biggest issue is that the lady in the office seemed to take exception to the fact that I dared to tell her she did not explain this to me or I would not have been shocked to hear this when I arrived on the morning of the fitting. The towbar and fitting itself was great no issues hence the two stars. If not for the fact that we have a holiday abroad with the caravan booked based on her attitude alone I would have turned around and left. The customer is always wrong by her standards. Such a shame for everyone else that works there.

Six days after querying why my ‘Witter’ tow ball was much higher than EC Directive 94/20/EC tow ball height (350-420mm) I am still waiting for a 'gaffer' to, as a simple courtesy, phone me up. The 'Witter' guidelines their annoyed fitters kept referring to do not comply to EC Directive 94/20/EC and are importantly entirely irrelevant as the much cheaper manufacturer of the tow bar and ball that was actually fitted is not 'Witter'. Despite being advised "you can't fit a drop hitch", you can. I have given up, bought one from Maypole (who make the tow ball) and fitted it. Outstanding lack of customer service or care.

Disappointed Don’t know what I did wrong as most reviews here are good. All I wanted was to replace a lost wheel nut on a Hedley Towbar 7.5 cwt trailer. The lady customer Services assistant was extremely helpful, suggesting I email photos of the trailer to their sales dept to help identify the correct wheel nut. Two emails were sent with photos attached and neither received the courtesy of a reply. Fortunately another company was more sympathetic to my situation and supplied the wheel nut. I am very disappointed in this type of negative attitude and have assigned 3 stars solely in appreciation of the lady who took my initial tel call.
