  Life changing. Joined Phoenix at bit of a loose end 6 months ago with the attitude of why not.. it’s given me a positive outlook on life and I look forward to every session. :) even the fitness side of it 😂🤮 get me the bucket!! 🤮🤮

  My son started here last July as I felt like he needed a confidence boost and just something to genuinely get his interest instead of an xbox! The trainer was very helpful with all information ( I'm not the brightest spark so questioned a few things I didn't quite understand and they got explain it for me)! Very polite to my son who was quite nervous! The trainers do a fantastic job at teaching the children life skills as well as the traditional kick boxing moves. My son feels very confident now and very proud in himself for achieving what he has in such a small amount and that is purely down to the dedicated and polite staff here! My son makes me cry everytime he gets belt, after been told over and over that he's behind and he won't learn much, well coming here has proved that he can learn and believe in himself! So thank you so much to the staff for bringing my boy out of his shell and making him believe in himself.

  My twins started kickboxing with Phoenix in late 2022 and it has been amazing to see how much it’s helped them, not only build their confidence but also how much it’s helped change their behaviour and calm them down. They literally count down the days until their next lesson and love nothing more than getting into their sparring kit to burn off some steam. Mr and Mrs Quinn and the rest of the instructors are AMAZING with the kids and really show them encouragement with every task they set. Its a lovely little community to be involved with, everyone is made to feel welcome and the kids have made some brilliant friends in the short time they’ve been there- it’s also clear how much respect all of the children have for each of the instructors which is testament to how amazing they all are!

  Fantastic martial arts academy for all the family. Phoenix martial arts has had a massive impact on myself and my family's life's over the last few years, it has helped us develop both physical and mentally, and we continue to grow each day we are a part of it.   Wow, what an amazing place. Both of my boys attend (3 and 5 years old) all of the staff are experienced, patient and approachable. It has such a community feeling. I would highly recommend Phoenix to anyone young or old.

  I can't recommend Phoenix Martial Arts enough. They are welcoming to everyone of all ages and abilities. Encouraging and supportive teachers, students are welcoming. The academy encourages a sense of community with on line games night and quizzes. You can sign up for yourself, for your kids or the whole family. Affordable fees with easy payment method. Kit is great quality and value for money.

  Mr Durham and all the staff at Phoenix Normanton are amazing my Son has been attending for nearly a year. He really enjoys going each week. The instructions put so much effort in each week. He was made to feel welcome from his very 1st session. Would highly recommend to friends and family.

  My daughter (14) has recently joined the adult kickboxing class here. Everyone is so supportive and encouraging towards each other. There is a positive vibe throughout, and she loves being part of such a great community. They are teaching her self discipline and self confidence along side her kickboxing. She is sweaty and smiling after every session.

  After a number of years as a junior martial artist specialising in Karate leaving at 15 years of age to pursue other interests it was always my intention to return at some point of my life and introduce my children as well. My children Neve 8 and Dexter 5 have struggled with focus and discipline in some areas of their life and I have taken the opportunity to introduce them to martial arts Upon looking around clubs and organisations I can see the martial art world has had a large modernisation and I feel can be seen as a money making machine and original ethics of martial arts lost in the wilderness. We found PHOENIX through social media and simply booked a trial session the following week, as this was very close to relief of lockdown measures the communication was second to none and knew exactly what to expect on arrival and throughout the session. The dojo at Normanton is well presented and well stocked for all aspects of fitness and martial arts. I have also visited the dojo in Knottingley with similar facilities. Mr DURHAM was welcoming I can honestly say he has immediately got the measure of my youngest and can see a difference in his discipline and listening already. Myself and my wife have joined along with the children and she has started her own martial arts journey where she feels very comfortable in the environment, instructors and other members. Prior to joining she would have legitimate anxiety about taking up such an activity. I have personally started my own journey in the kickboxing discipline and feel challenged every session and looking to attend karate should my time allow. All in all I look forward to seeing my children and family develop vital life skills within the club and I would advise anyone to give them a try. Kenny Walton
