Absolutely diabolical.Had our little dog put to sleep cost nearly £800 we will end up with £139.72p.Dont use these they also say we've got to pay 6mths premium although our boy had died.Its bad enough loosing a pet then to be told that.. Disgraceful

I put 1 star but they truly deserve a 0 star. I had to call Healthy Pets 2 weeks ago as my policy was due for renewal and I asked them if it would be cheaper if I paid for the premium upfront instead of paying via monthly direct debit. The person on the phone told me that there was no price difference so I said that I was happy to go ahead with the renewal and the call ended. 10 days after this, I received a letter saying that my policy has been cancelled. I called them to clarify this misunderstanding and they told me that they thought I told them that I didn't want to renew because it was too expensive which is completely incorrect. They also said that I couldn't have my policy reinstated and that I would have to run a new quote online. I'm very lucky that I caught this early enough as if it happened that my pet became ill or had an accident, I would have ended up with no insurance and having to pay thousands in vet fees. Absolutely disgraceful.

My dog Meg died on the 28th December from a thyroid carcinoma and my claim still isn't resolved! I have complained about my insurance pay out which I'm still over £1000 short. I wouldn't recommend this pet insurance, they have taken money from me which isn't fair, hence my complaints. And when you speak to a customer Advisor all they keep saying is sorry, not once but several times and are clearly reading from a script!! I had been with then since 2015, never missed a payment and the most upsetting bit for me was they took the remaining premiums of my policy after my dog had passed away which was a total of £353. I then lost my other dog suddenly 3wks later he was insured with a different company and when I cancelled his policy I was refunded my direct debit for the month he passed away and no other monthly premiums owed. Stay away from Healthy pets as they are not the pet insurance company they say they are. There is so much more details I could go into but too much for me to write and too upsetting. We have two cats insured with Healthy Pets for two years. One of our cats developed a genetic hip issue, 2.5k operation. Bar slight delay to clarify blood tests Healthy Pets paid direct to vet within a month. No issue. Vet claimed direct providing all records.

Had to claim after my cat was in a road traffic accident. The claim was paid out quickly and paid directly to the vet. Was very glad to have the insurance as it would have been difficult to find the large sum of money that was needed to treat Sydney.
