Spent a family week at Hazel Brow to celebrate a golden wedding. The house is spacious and well equipped. It was very clean and the bedlinen and towels were also spotless. We had lovely weather but it could be chilly at night so we took advantage of the open fires. Cathy even made up starter packs of kindling with a firelighter. The views are superb and we enjoyed them from the added luxury of the hot tub. Kids went canoeing and paddleboarding as well as lots of lovely walks. Our four legged friend was welcome - even dog towels were supplied if necessary. Cathy couldn't have been more helpful especially when we had a problem with one of the cars which was blocking the rest of the cars in! She took us to the nearest garage and helped get things sorted out. We had caterers one night as it was a special occasion and I can heartily recommend them. Fairhursts caterers did a super meal for 12 and were so professional and friendly - even acted as family photographer! All in all I would recommend Hazel Brow to anyone looking for a restful break in a beautiful area.

Hazel Brow house is such a lovely place to stay and it was perfect for our (very!) small wedding! The house is in the most beautiful setting, all of the rooms are fantastic, there's plenty of space and the kitchen is really well kitted out. Cath was really helpful on the day itself and really made us feel at home. Highly recommend the house for a special occasion, wedding or otherwise!

We stayed at Hazel Brow house last weekend and what a fabulous place it is. The house itself is beautiful and very comfortable. The weather was lovely but had turned a little chilly and the house was warm and inviting. Every room is comfortable, clean and cosy. The views from the house are stunning and as soon as we arrived I felt relaxed. We loved being close to the farm and the animals and enjoyed walking by the river and exploring the village. We sat outside by the fire pit in the evening and picked damsons in the garden during the day. It’s such a peaceful and beautiful place.

I had such an amazing stay in this beautiful house. It is easy to find and is very well kept. It’s position on the top of the dale could not be anymore stunning! The rooms were very comfortable. Cath is so hard working, but she has time for everyone and enjoys telling you about the house and area, as well as getting to know her guests a little without intruding. The farm’s goats and alpacas are very friendly. I would stay again.

Hazel Brow House is a real gem. Tucked away in Swaledale the house has amazing views from the house and garden. My bedroom was at the top of the house with a side view but most bedrooms, sitting room and the dining room have the view across the valley. The terrace has ample seating and a firepit, great for stargazing. The decor remains true to the age of the house. A truly wonderful place.

A beautiful house in a wonderful part of the world. Everything clean and well kept. Tasteful furnishings and well equipped kitchen. Nearby pub also does lovely food. We had a brilliant family gathering with room for everyone.Just be aware that access is very steep so not easy for someone with a wheeled walker.
