I had a very uninspiring front garden: a rectangle of patchy grass and a couple of dull grey paths along its edges. It didn't really match the house, it wasn't interesting or attractive to look at, and whoever designed it hadn't given much thought to the practicalities. It was crying out for improvement, but I don't know the first thing about gardening, and couldn't come up with a plan. I needed to find an expert who could look at what I'd got, see what it should be, and bring that into being. And that's exactly what I got with Haywood Landscapes. Andy took my list of constraints and nebulous preferences and turned it into a design I loved; Ross and Dave did a fantastic job of turning the design into reality in just three weeks, despite downpours and Arctic chill. I've now got a beautiful, usable front garden where every detail is just right, from the colours of the paving that echo the colours in the walls, to the flowing curves that lead the eye through the space, to the myriad of flowers that I'm looking forward to over the course of the next year. The team kept me fully informed from start to finish; they did exactly what they said they would, when they said they would; they were sensitive to my neighbours' needs as well as my own; and the end result really is stunning. I couldn't be happier, and judging by the compliments I've received, neither could my neighbours. I'd recommend Haywood Landscapes without reservation, for their skill, competence, attention to detail and sheer professionalism. And their friendly manner! They've been a joy to work with. We are delighted with the transformation and recreation of a section of our rear garden, which had pretty much not been used for the many years we have lived in our property. I am very happy with the work done by Haywood Landscapes. We had a number of retaining walls replaced with wooden sleepers, a vegetable planter installed, borders cleared and replanted, and turf laid. The work has been done to a very high standard and has transformed our garden. All the people we have dealt with from the company have been extremely professional, friendly and helpful. I don't have much understanding of gardening, and everyone has taken their time to explain various aspects of the work we've had done. As well as the hard landscaping, we are really pleased with the planting plan that was created for us, and which was based on our own preferences for colours, types of plant and so on. We just don't have the knowledge to have done this ourselves. I would recommend Haywood Landscapes without hesitation if you are thinking of having any gardening work done. We had to wait for a quote but once given and accepted work was underway quickly and completed within the timescale quoted. The work itself was completed to a very high standard of craftsmanship. Our main 2 man team, Brendon and Danny, were conscientious and hardworking. On a couple of afternoons an additional 2 man team joined them. Andy Wiggins maintained overall responsibility.
