I booked the kingfisher narrowboat accommodation for a 40th birthday surprise. On arrival there was a chilled bottle of prosecco and a birthday card, a lovely personal touch. The boat is tastefully decorated, well equipped and the bed is so comfortable. Watching the sun set over the canal whilst bubbling our worries away in the hot tub was perfect. We used the sauna and the BBQ cabin, both were fabulous. We ordered BBQ pack and a graze box, both were excellent quality and highly recommended. If you want rest, relaxation and enjoying being surrounded by nature this is the place to be.

Beautiful cosy lodge has everything you need. Amazing hot tub. Spent three nights in owl Lodge and didn't want to leave it was so peaceful and relaxing. We met Josephine the owner who was lovely and friendly and gave us a bit of local knowledge on the area. The breakfast produce was good quality and enough for two mornings. We walked along the canal to a little village where there was a supermarket and a pub where we had lunch one day. Although we didn't use them on this visit there is a bbq hut and a sauna and steam room on site, you can also book yourself a massage if you wish. Hopefully we will return in the future as it is well worth a visit. Keep up the good work Josephine and Ronnie.

Back from an absolute magical valentines break at Hawthorne Hideaway. The perfect place for a couple to escape. The lodge's are large with every detail you will ever need (includes super fast WiFi which was a must for us haha) The grounds are spectacular, especially at nighttime with lights lining the trees with use of firepit, sauna, barbecue room and sunset seating. And Josephine was a delight, it was wonderful to be in her company a few times, what an amazing job you do at hawthorne hideaway. We will be back hopefully next year and can't wait, we didn't want to leave. Many thanks Phil & Jodie

Even though you wasn't there to take us to our accommodation when we arrived, you came to see us straight away. You have a hotel room on a barge, it is amazing, you literally thought of everything, your eye for detail is outstanding! Thank you for advising Paul to book the barge, the experience was amazing. There honestly wasn't a single thing that was too much trouble for you, the balloons, prosecco, breakfast and BBQ hamper made it all the more special. We appreciate you offering us to try the new steam room too, even if it's not quite finished, it is stunning. My daughter booked myself and husband to hawthon hideaway for a 2 night stay on the barge . What a lovely treat this was for us . The barge was lovely in every possible way . It was very clean warm and very very comfortable. We took advantage of the sauna and hottub .it was a lovely treat and we would recommend to others . Thank you hawthorn
