(Translated by Google) We were looking for a holiday home in England, in a quiet place with play facilities for our 2 children, not too expensive and the sea within acceptable driving distance. We found it at Hawthorn Farm. Our high expectations were not disappointed, on the contrary... What a wonderfully quiet place with lots of space (the last kilometers we had to drive very carefully through the narrow lanes with the bends)! A warm welcome from Steve with lots of useful information, a bottle of local apple juice and Kentish chocolate made us feel welcome and showed us around. Thanks for the 2 adapters, so that we could connect our Dutch devices. The children enjoyed the 2 donkeys and the modest play area. (They would also have been very happy with a trampoline.) The Cherry tree cottage had everything we needed. The cottage remained wonderfully cool thanks to the white walls and the abundant ivy vegetation. Ideal that there was a room with games that we could use. Birds abounded on and around the grounds. The area is very worthwhile. We visited Canterbury including evensong in the impressive cathedral, the white cliffs of Dover, the beautiful beach coves with the rocks of Broadstairs, Goodnestone Park and Gardens, historic Sandwich, Wingham with lovely children's play area, Deal with the pier, Swolley's ice cream Parlour, Folkestone with Lower Leas Country Park, etc. And all (well) within 1 hour away by car. We thoroughly enjoyed this holiday at Hawthorn Farm and can highly recommend it to anyone wanting a holiday in beautiful England! This was our second stay at Hawthorn Farm. We arrived to another warm welcome from the lovely hosts, Tina and Steve. Foxglove Cottage was beautiful, clean comfortable and decorated to a high standard with a delightful cottage style kitchen. It was really quiet, except for the sound of birdsong. The outside space is wonderful, with seating and a pond full of carp, the wide western skies, the farm cats and of course the donkeys, who you can feed. Hawthorn Farm is well located, an easy drive from London, in close proximity to beaches, and towns along the popular Kent coast and there is a good choice of local farm shops for supplies. If anyone is looking for a relaxing, stress busting break you couldnt do better than a holiday at Hawthorn Farm. We will definitely return!

We have just returned from a 10 day holiday at hawthorn farm . Staying in primrose cottage. Since my mum's stroke left her with mobility issues primrose cottage looked well set up to accommodate these. However I was a little in trepidation, expecting to find a functional, rather than homely , feel to the cottage . How wrong could I be !!! What a pleasant surprise when we walked in . Spacious ,clean ,beautifully and tastefully decorated , very homely and comfortable. really good quality kitchen equipment and lovely thick white towels . Outdoor areas are a delight too with quirky pieces nestled against the greenery . We hired the recliner arm chair which was perfect , and Steve found 2 deck chairs to use . It was a real treat to open the door on most sunny mornings and sit outside with our morning coffees , relaxing and enjoying the peace and tranquility . I managed to break the shower head on the first morning, but Steve made no fuss and fixed it immediately. Both he and Tina were so helpful in every way . Always there if you needed them but not in an overbearing way . There is a games ,dvd ,and puzzle cupboard too . Everything has been thought of . It really was a treat and we can't thank you enough . Anyone deciding to visit here will definitely not be disappointed .

Ideal for a get away from it all holiday. Set among fields and orchards so very quiet. ( No children staying in adjacent cottages) Spotlessly clean. Ideal for my husband who has mobility problems. Would have been advantageous to have had another toilet on premises. Rooms : 5/5 | Service : 5/5 | Location : 3/5 … More

Brilliant stay yet again and the cats loved staying in Foxglove Cottage. Clean, stocked up, and nice touch with the bottle of local pressed apple juice in the fridge.

We have just returned from a weeks holiday staying at Primrose cottage . I am a wheelchair user and I found the cottage very accessible and spacious including the large comfortable bed and large shower room and toilets. The cottage was lovely and clean and it was nice visiting the donkeys at the end of the garden. The cottage is ideally situated close to some lovely orchards but very close to Ramsgate where we were visiting and we are really looking forward to our return visit.

Cherry Tree cottage was a delightful place to stay, surrounded by beautiful grounds in the midst of apple and pear orchards. Opposite were 2 gorgeous donkeys who we were allowed to feed. The cottage itself was excellent and spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfy and the decor was tasteful and pretty. We were a short drive from local villages and it was a convenient place to get to. Our hosts Tina and Steve were very welcoming and friendly and also helpful with recommending places to visit. We would highly recommend Hawthorn Farm cottages and will definitely be returning.
