Very disappointed with this visit. Booked for the bar as wanted to bring my best friend, my dog but wanted to get a garden table. On arrival I saw tables free but was told they were booked so I said oh it’s always something different to which the girl attending out outside said well I’m telling you you can book the left side on the phone or in your booking ask in the box. Well the last time we had asked the outside tables were not bookable, so you wouldn’t think to ask again. So we headed to the bar area for our booked table. My main course was tough I suppose you have to expect that with pork belly but at no time did anyone enquire how our food was. We have sat in the bar a couple of times and obviously have self ordered at the bar but also have a long wait between courses and clear our own glasses from the table which feels as though you are outcasts like not paying the same price as everyone else which we of course were. Well happy birthday me and this I feel will be my last visit to the hawk. Other pubs operate the order at the bar for all meals but I don’t feel like an outcast there…so I shall go there…….

I visit the Hawk regularly and the food is always good and the staff are really friendly! Wide menu with lots of choices. The landlady Jenny is lovely and always rushing around making sure everything is running smoothly!

Always a good meal here and they allow dogs in the front section which also has nice fires to sit by and dog treats at the bar. The bar staff are always friendly and work really hard! Nice big garden
