Very poor service and misleading experience. I ordered and paid for a check-up service for my bike and Havebike came back with a proposed bill of over 450£ in addition to the 59£ I already paid. They wouldn't do any work on the bike unless all the items considered critical were accepted, with most of the items highly overprices - for example the quote for replacing the tires was 132£, a service which I didn't asked for and I insisted could do myself. After several attempts to call, messages and unanswered emails I got my bike back but they kept part of the money paid for no service. I felt not supported and defrauded.

Great service, good communication and excellent customer service. The bike was serviced, fixed in a couple of days and came back like new! The guy, that collected and delivered, my bike was super friendly and polite. I really raccomend Havebike.

Seemed like a good service, easy to arrange and make payment. Not so easy to get hold of anyone when you need to make a change to your booking. Don’t be fooled by the “fastest option” on the website which was a web chat- it opens a form to ask your question and you’ll be lucky if you get a response. Emailing was also an issue, no reply for 4 days. Having said that the bike was returned when originally requested, not on the new date I was hoping to push it out to. I can see new pedals and apparently I needed both wheels realigning. The check sheet that comes with the bike looks like a pretty thorough job. Was a bit more expensive than taking it to a local place but then you’re paying for convenience. Would have been nice however if support had replied to my request to change the delivery date.

Never collected the bike or contacted us to say they weren't coming. Then emailed to say bike was with them being assessed. If they can't keep track of the bike before collection I would not trust them to keep track of it once they've got it.

What a great service! It is sometimes hard to find a place to service an electric bike but I could get it done at Havebike. The process is so easy! You book online, pick the day, you get an email the day before to give you a time slot and a call from the person picking up/returning the bike within an hour of arrival. You also get an email during the service to advise you of any additional costs (including specifications on what is essential vs. optional). It is just an all round great service. Will definitely use again for my other bikes.

I had issues with Havebike from the offset. An online promotion for 20% off that was clear on their website was apparently 'out of date' therefore wasn't honoured. I couldn't get hold on them over the phone despite calling over a dozen times. Collection time was missed by two hours on the first date. Second date the driver called to say he was 40 mins away, he arrives 15 mins later when I was on a call. Driver takes my dirty bike out and knocks it twice on the carpet putting oil on the carpet, great I now have a stain. Email comes in saying there is £550 of safety critical work that needs to be done but provides no pictures and, surprise surprise, I can't get hold of anyone over the phone to discuss. I contact them on their 'web chat' as they request - it isn't a webchat, it's an email service that they respond on within 48 hours. I can't even reject the proposed work online! They don't work weekends and I've currently spent £99 for a service that absolutely isn't worth it and I now won't get my bike back until mid next week I'd assume. I will be going back to the highstreet branches going forwards, these guys need to get their act together and seriously improve.

Was due to receive my bike back yesterday morning, didn't arrive or receive any confirmation of delay. Have attempted to call on multiple occasions, use the "chat" function and sent emails to try and ascertain where my bike is. Can't get through and emails and chats not replied to. Appalling customer service. If there are delays, communicate, don't leave the customer hanging around. Do not use this company, your bike could go missing for days and you would be non the wiser. Unacceptable.

We all know that the ideal number of bikes is one more than you have, right? Or is your old clunker so tired that you need a replacement? There may be another, less divorce-inducing way to get a "new" bike... My Brompton has been in daily use for five years. There was nothing wrong with it, except for an annoying squeak that gallons of WD40 couldn't fix. And some sloppiness. And tired brakes. And a recalcitrant derailleur. You know, all those little niggles that you ignore while you dream of a new bike. Havebike picked up my Brompton exactly on time and reported back promptly on squeaks, arthritic joints, brakes and drivetrain. I pressed "go" on the email ("Let's chat" and "no" were other options). My plans changed so I needed Havebike to return it to my home instead of office but they handled that in their stride. The Brompton that came back was like a new bike for a fraction of the cost. The brakes stopped me like I'd thrown out an anchor, the gears changed without demur and the bike's joints moved silently and silkily (my own sadly move more sulkily). This is not my first experience of being a Havebike customer and it won't be my last.

Terrible customer service (job41437) I have paid £218 they have had bike 15 days still not returned (48/72hr advertised turnaround). Promised partial refund which has not been received, 2 return dates been and gone with no explanation. Company does not answer calls or respond to emails or their own web chat. CEO .... would you like to contact me and discuss ????
