Awesome museum, kids friendly. They have activity packs, a huge garden and a nice variety of displais: mummy, bear, crocodile, shells...

Super local museum in that it has items of national and international interest as well as local artefacts. Entry is by donation only, and I took my 3 and 5 year old children. They were fascinated by the Roman and Ancient Egyptian artefacts, taxidermied animals, and geological exhibits. The gardens were wonderful to walk around too, and we plan on coming back to enjoy those more once the weather warms up!

We were very impressed by this museum. Who'd have thought to find an Egyptian mummy in a small provincial town like Haslemere? 😲 The Peasant Art exhibition was particularly good: the right balance of artefacts and information panels. And all the pottery, taxidermy and shell collections were fascinating also. A hidden gem!
