I have to say that I have had to arrange 3 appointments to be seen in the last 6 months and every time it has been straightforward and everyone has been so helpful and lovely. I feel very blessed to be a patient of this surgery. I also love the online consultations and try to opt for this as I also have found it so easy. Big thank you to all the staff.

Having seen Janet (mental health) I feel miles better! The follow up was Absolutley needed as without it I think I would have felt desperately helpless. She’s pulled me through in a time of need. She is relatable, approachable and kind. Very friendly and has made my anxiety manageable and given me so much help. I look forward to my next session. Stacey Croft

UPDATE 2: The Practice Manager (Sophie Whitehead) took the time to speak to me and my partner in person. She addressed our concerns and has assured me that steps will be taken to minimise potential issues in future. After taking good & friendly treatment from a few members of staff into consideration, I've changed my rating from a 0/1 to a 4. UPDATE: The situation has gotten worse, I ended up on the phone for around 2 hours trying to get my appointment, was given an after hours appointment 12 days later. I had the appointment but because it was after hours, couldn't book in for bloods. So I was told to come in the next day in person to book in with daytime reception, which I tried to do (after waiting at least 20 mins in queue). I had to collect sample pots, book in for a blood test, a GP appointment for a referral and to hand in a urine sample I'd been given at my GP appointment the day before. The receptionist told me they "didn't have the authority to give (me) sample pots", they "couldn't accept (my) sample because there wasn't a form" and that they couldn't book any appointments for me. They said they couldn't see my notes, even though I'd watched the GP typing them up and she explained they would be available on all 6 practice systems (although I was in Harwood for the appointment anyway). The receptionist said I would have to speak to the Practice Manager, they would call me in the morning - I explained wouldn't be available in the morning and my phone blocks private numbers automatically so they said I needed to call in, I asked when and they said I could come in person, I tried to clarify whether she meant I had to phone in first or could just come in and she wouldn't give me a clear answer, just kept repeating that she couldn't do anything and I should call in and everything would be sorted tomorrow. So I went in today to talk to the Practice Manager as I'd been told I needed to do, but receptionists had no idea about any of the previous. I was in there at least 30 minutes (I was the only person waiting for around 10 minutes). The receptionists ended up printing off the forms and giving me sample pots with no issues and booked me in for the appointments I needed. Other than confusion over blood tests (because I already have a separate blood test related appointment) - the receptionists were able to do everything I had been told *couldn't* be done without talking to the Practice Manager. So once again I have had my treatment/appointments delayed because of a receptionist. I CAN NOT EMPHASISE ENOUGH, AVOID THE HARWOOD MEDICAL GROUP PRACTICES. Original Review: I don't know where to start. GPs who don't listen and deny urgent appointments and blood tests (until A&E step in) causing unnecessary and potentially harmful delays in treatment, last minute cancellations of appointments because they decide patients "aren't eligible" (with no evidence to back it up, for arbitrary reasons), gaslighting from GPs, gatekeeping by receptionists, online services which don't work, and now I've spent the last few days waiting to make an appointment (I was told to wait until today for appointments to be available) only to spend over an hour on the phone on hold (with multiple attempts where I couldn't even get through) only to go through a queue of 7 people, get to position 1 to be hung up on, then a queue of 8 people, position 2, hung up on, now I'm waiting again (currently over 23 minutes to get to position 6 from 8). Absolute nightmare.
