I friend and I went to the pub for Sunday lunch. We expected, as we were told, there would be a long wait for our order but it was very frustrating to sit and wait with empty tables around us and, it would appear, no other people waiting for their food. The attention seemed to be focused on outside customers but the waitresses inside were not busy. The problem seemed to be in the kitchen area. Surely there was a member of staff in the main restaurant who could join the kitchen staff to help with the waiting problem. I know of another pub in the same group who would have their very versatile manager help out in similar situations!! This afternoon’s experience has deterred my friend and I from visiting the Harvest Moon for Sunday lunch for a very long time- maybe when our memories have faded from today’s sorrowful experience.
