We arrived early and the reception staff were very helpful and welcoming. We went for a drink in the bar while we waited for our allotted check in time. Kerrie, the bar lady, was friendly and bubbly and really made us feel at home. The reception staff called us once the caravan was ready and we were able to settle in ahead of time. As we made our way to our caravan we noticed how well kempt the site is. The roadways are clean, well surfaced and clear. All the grass areas between the caravans are mowed and edged. They have packed a lot of vans in but they are far enough apart. We noticed that a lot appeared to be residential and some were a bit dated but I understand they have strict tenure times that limits how old the vans can get before being updated. Our van looked to be one of the newer ones ( B35). It was clean and well maintained. It could sleep 8. It has one double bedroom, two twin rooms and a sofa in the lounge area that can sleep two. It was fully equipped and any minor niggles were addressed by the staff when we reported them. The site has everything you need to entertain the kids and the "town" is right outside the gate with the beach about 200m down the road opposite the gate. The beach is nice especially if you go right when you get to it and follow the coastal path. All in all we had a great time and I cannot fault the holiday park however if you venture outside the gates you will notice that the the people who frequent Leysdown-On -Sea and the surrounding area could best be described as "salt of the earth". I've worked in a very industrial world for over 40 years but even I blanched at some of the language and sites we saw.

Nice park in general. Could do with some more activities for the kids during the day, but overall was good. Food from what we tried was ok. Bar was a little overpriced but not a shock. Entertainment was great in the evening
