FAQ

How do you incorporate technology into your Montessori curriculum?

At Hartley House Montessori, we believe in a hands-on approach to learning and limit our use of technology in the classroom. However, we do use technology to enhance our curriculum and provide educational opportunities for our students. For example, we may use tablets or computers for educational games or research projects.

How do you assess student progress and provide feedback to parents?

We assess student progress through observation and record-keeping. Our teachers regularly observe and document each child's progress in our Montessori curriculum. We also provide regular feedback to parents through parent-teacher conferences and progress reports.

What ages of children do you care for?

We provide care and education for children aged 2 to 6 years old.

What is your sick policy for children?

We ask that parents keep their child at home if they are showing signs of illness, such as a fever, vomiting, or diarrhea. If a child becomes sick while at our facility, we will contact the parents and ask that they pick up their child as soon as possible.

Do you offer any extracurricular activities or programs for children?

Yes, we offer a variety of extracurricular activities and programs for our students, such as music, art, and language lessons. We also have after-school programs for older children, such as homework clubs and sports teams. These programs are designed to enhance our Montessori curriculum and provide a well-rounded educational experience for our students.

My twin girls attended in casa dei Bambini during pandemic and it has been over a year now. As lock down babies, they scared of people and were having overwhelming so easy. However, it was totally changed after attending there 4 months later. They really enjoyed being there and their social skills and Language improved dramatically. The nursery is small and has a very home like environment. So the girls feel really attached with the staffs. Whatd more, thabks to the Montessori setting, they gain so much skills and they are so independent. My family and friends always impressed when they see them!! Thank you!!

Our little guy has been going to Hartley House / Eco-Montessori for a over a year (since January 2020). Unfortunately due to the pandemic we haven't been able to spend much time there ourselves to see what happens, but our son absolutely loves it - he can't wait to get in in the mornings. He's always happy when I collect him and he has learnt so much there. We like the Montessori ethos and that the place isn't filled with plastic toys but rather things which stimulate and challenge him, and help him develop life skills. The staff are lovely, always happy to talk if we have anything we want to discuss. At least one member of staff sings to the kids in Spanish, and we like it that he's exposed to other languages.

We are very happy with the nursery and i'm so surprised to see the negative reviews. My 3 YO daughter attends the bambino room and loves the teachers, she is always enthusiastic when we collect her at the end of the day and her writing and conversation skills have really improved in the 3 months she has been there. The facilities are more than adequate and I love the regular outings they go on to forests and nature spots. I would highly recommend

I had my son going here for nearly two years and it used to be an excellent nursery. Come August 2018 and staff begin to leave one by one and also the old manager left. The nursery went downhill, it was always dirty, my child always had soiled nappy left on for ages. Some of the new staff were rude. It began to feel like an unsafe environment for my child so I pulled him out. A lot of other parents did the same. Now I’m getting letters threatening legal action and 3 extra months fees claimed. And to top it of, they never returned my deposit. Avoid this place, they are definately better nursery’s around. It’s not even really a Montessori. A shambles really.
