Had brunch at the barn. Beautiful place. Staff were great and coffee was high quality. Pretty limited veg/vegan options though - veg sausage roll had run out and for cakes there was only the flapjack which wasnt amazing - and charging 50p for oat milk in a coffee is disproportionate and outdated. UPDATE: thanks for the thoughtful response below. I appreciate the points, but I dont agree on the cost of the surcharge. 1L of oat milk costs max £1.50 bought in bulk as a business. If you are charging 50p that would equate to 333mL or more of oatmilk per average coffee. And thats without considering the cost price of your local cow milk. Surely something like 20p might be more in line with the actual difference in cost if you are determined to apply a surcharge.

Visited twice over the weekend for a lunch and breakfast. The cafe is clean and staff were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Emily, in particular, stood out because even though she was under pressure at an extremely busy period, she dealt with every customer efficiently and always with a broad smile. The vegan breakfast and pizza was delicious and the staff could make a mean oat cappuccino. Can’t wait to return! Dietary restrictions: Very good vegan options

I booked Hartley Farm for my sister’s baby shower, having not been before it’s always a bit of a gamble but the location was the perfect place for this occasion….we were not disappointed. From the moment I enquired about a reservation, Dave was most helpful and accommodating. He made allowances with the menu and offered us the ‘snug’ giving us a private room for lunch. On arrival, we were shown to the table and were immediately offered drinks, we were able to put up decorations as a surprise for my sister. The attentiveness and friendliness of the staff, the quality of the food and the warmth of the cafe was superb, we couldn’t fault anything. It was the right balance of being left to it and ensuring everyone had drinks etc. We all had a lovely lunch at Hartley Farm cafe, thank you so much to all of the team who looked after us.
