I love singing! It fills me with joy, but I was worried about coming on my own, so when my friend had singing lessons I asked her to join with me! I needn’t have worried about coming on my own because everyone makes you feel welcome. It’s fun and the songs are pop songs and I have really enjoyed the events I have joined in with. My favourite thing is singing and listening back to the whole song and the harmonies. Love it! I look forward to Thursdays ! It’s my first day at work so Thursdays were always my Monday but now it is a day rounded off with joy and smiles! Join !! If you love singing you will enjoy this choir!

I joined the choir for stress relief, by getting out of my thoughts and doing something releasing and feel good. Singing helps me feel happy and I've got a place to go once a week where I feel nice. Give it a try!

I joined Lucy's Pop Choir because after shielding for nearly 2 years along with always working from home, I needed to get out and meet new people. I love the energy and humour that Kate & Lucy bring. I also love the songs, especially when you get a good one you get to know well and you can sing your heart out! I love that I get to go out and not think of work or kids and it gives me a better perspective on my life.

I haven't been in a choir since I was 7 years old, and I was told to leave because I couldn't sing! But, I recently joined Lucy's Pop Choir to learn to sing and have fun doing it. I now feel like I am learning to sing, there's a lovely atmosphere and I look forward to coming and joining in. Give it a go - it's an hour and a half of joy! Thanks to Lucy and the other choir leaders for always being so positive, friendly and cheerful.

I love Lucy's Pop Choir because there are so many lovely people, a good mixture of ages and good choices of songs! I also love Lucy's style of teaching, her enthusiasm and personality. Singing just enhances my life. For an hour and a half I thoroughly enjoy myself. "I feel good." to quote James Brown. If you're thinking of joining then don't hold back. Give it a go!

I have been singing for the most part of my life. It's just something that I can't live without. So, when I moved to York, I needed a place to sing, preferably some fun pop songs, and I found just what I needed! The reason I stayed at Lucy's Pop Choir was Lucy, and the song choice! I think she is amazing, and the songs that we sing are very well arranged! I was a part of an academic sort of choir for many years. The songs, although classic and mostly beautiful, were not exactly my cup of tea, neither was the singing style. Then, another choir I attended for some time, was more similar to this one, but the songs were mostly from the 80's, and I don't know that music well. Also, most of the songs featured a lead singer, which usually was the same person, and the rest of the voices had to sing boring unappealing parts. None of these things are happening in Lucy's choir. I love the songs (especially the Jonas Brothers!), I love that there's no lead singers, and I love the energy Lucy brings in. I know that every week, I get to go somewhere that I can sing my lungs out to the tunes I enjoy and have some Jelly Babies (that I don't usually allow myself). Life is much more fun this way! It's not all about work and gym anymore.

It was my New Years resolution about 4 years ago to join a choir in York and I'm so glad I found Lucy's. Everyone is so friendly and we do great songs with lovely arrangements. Tuesday evenings are now the highlight of the week! I also find it the perfect way to destress and relax after work. Last November, I was also lucky enough to have Lucy’s Pop Choir sing at my wedding which was just the most amazing, personal thing ever. Our guests were blown away and it was so special.

Lucy's Pop Choir is welcoming and great fun! My favourite thing about it is singing lovely songs with like minded people. It's given me something different to look forward to each week. Definitely give it a go. I never thought I'd be singing in a flash mob 2 months after joining, but I did and loved it!
