I chose Bow and Lace to make alterations to my wedding dress that I bought 3 months before my wedding. For such a personal and important task I wanted someone trustworthy, honest and reliable. The reviews I read were not wrong! Amie is a rare lady - highly skilled, warm, friendly and with a strong work ethic. She spotted design aspects of the dress that could be improved with minor alterations and her prices were very fair. Even when the zip broke (it can happen on ex sample dresses like mine) she quickly replaced it and pointed out this was the best time for it to break! Calm and reassuring she felt like a safe pair of hands from our first meeting, pointing out the dress needed a hoop to enable me to walk correctly - and the right one for the style of my dress when I looked horrified at the thought of a meringue! My dress now fits like a glove and I feel so confident in it. I couldn't be happier, thank you so much Amie.

I want to start by saying a massive thank you to Amie for making me feel so comfortable in my dress alteration appointments. She is an absolute diamond and very talented at what she does! Also as a plus size bride I wanted someone who could work with my shape and that’s exactly what I got! She instantly knew that I was self conscious of my mum tum and suggested lifting the dress from the waist to give the desired length but to also help create the illusion of a more free flowing dress from bust to the floor. It really changed the dress for the better and I never knew this was an option. We also had 5 bridesmaids dresses altered with Amie and she was just as amazing. Had I known Amie before I purchased our bridesmaids dresses I would have had her make 5 from scratch. I really missed out there! All I will say is get your appointment booked in ASAP because honestly you won’t regret it. Thank you for everything Amie! x
