It is virtually impossible to get an appointment at this surgery as for a long time now the reception staff seem intent on preventing patients from seeing the doctors. My partner has been a patient here for quite a while and at the weekend we were involved in a traffic collision, after developing symptoms we have tried to get an appointment but despite being told at other locations that we should get a doctors referral for an x-ray it is still impossible to get an appointment. And have been told to go to a walk in clinic or A&E. The NHS complain that people are using these departments rather than seeing GPS yet the GPS staff are actually sending them there. The last appointment we had at the surgery was arranged through one of the practice nurses but now the reception staff won’t even let you speak to them. We have officially complained about the reception staff a number of times but nothing makes any difference at this surgery. It’s atrocious and should have zero stars as a review. I now have no sympathy for the frankly overpaid doctors who don’t care a fig for their patients and they certainly do not deserve any consideration giving to their claims for a pay rise from the government. Today 17th May 2023, I managed to see one of the nurses after having to visit the surgery in person last week to make an appointment. Something the reception staff wouldn’t let me do by telephone. Though the nurse herself said it was a wasted appointment as the reception staff themselves should have been able to sort out my issue. I also discussed with Sarah the nurse the problems I’d been having with the reception staff and apparently according to her all the doctors surgeries in this area are suffering with the same problems and she herself thought that a 2 star rating for the surgery was quite good. She also told me that if I wasn’t happy that I should find another surgery to go to. Wonderful advice I must say.

Doctors are good here, if you eventually get seen, getting the appointment is where you get stuck. The receptionist in this surgery is absolutely horrendous and so incompetent, doesn't listen to you fully, interrupts and just refers you to A&E or Haywood?! No compassion whatsoever. What's the point for your own GP?! They are taking up on so many patients.... But are unable to provide any appointments if need be.

Big problem here is you rarely,if ever see the same doctor twice .Just returned from my appointment and seen a different doctor to last time ,and been told complete opposite regarding one of my medications The previous said to stop taking ,the second says dont stop ,claiming the first was an inexperienced junior doctor If he was a junior inexperienced doctor he should be supervised . A disgusted patient 😡😡😡

I have never experienced this type of service in my entire life. It’s nearly impossible to get an appointment from this centre. There was one time I had called for 53 times within half an hour at the right time for a serious ongoing condition and the call gets cancelled showing it’s busy and even when it does gets answered, they’ll just advice to call again at the end of the week and and it goes on like that forever. As an Overseas student I’ve never expected this much from here cause of how worse this system works… Had to give 1 star to give comments else I would’ve given 0

If I could I would give -5 stars. Terrible you ever seen. I try to get my result or a doctor to read my results and I`m not able to do it, results that was made 3 months ago, all the time when I call they tell me to call in another day, or call after 10 pm or they are not doctors they can`t read the results. Absolute useless and waste of time. They cannot play with peoples life just like that....I don`t know how they can sleep at night...

I cannot begin to describe how appreciative I am to this gp surgery. My son suffers with asthma and I noticed he seemed unwell. I was able to book an appointment very quickly and was there within a couple of hours. In the half hour run up to being seen my son took a huge turn for the worse. The doctor ordered a blue light ambulance and when they refused to send one (despite the doctor who was clearly quite frustrated saying that my son was deteriorating before his eyes). Taxis were for some reason all saying they had a half an hour wait. I could not believe it when the surgery’s receptionist drove us there, with a doctor in the back with my son and an oxygen tank. They truly went above and beyond to help my child, and I will never change his surgery if I have a choice. Absolutely fantastic service and doctors who are clearly caring and dedicated to helping those in need. 10/10. Highly Recommend.

My mum is a patient at this surgery, she is 81 and housebound unfortunately. I have just been across to the surgery ( mum lives 264 feet away from it)to enquire yet again about her AUTUMN covid booster jab to be told that covid injection are no longer available and to ring 119. So I rang 119 to be told they no longer gave covid injections so my mum who has three carers a daygoing into her home has no protection. Disgusting am making a formal complaint.

Shocking Telephone booking, 16 minutes and I was still "active position 3" in the queue! Why would all 3 line are busyall at the same time speaking to one patient each for 16 minutes? Doesn´t add up folks
