The experience I had at Harley Street Gynaecology was horrendous. I booked with Mr Khan a) because of the reviews the clinic has and b) because when booking into a clinic on Harley Street, one would expect the best care. What I can't understand is how the reviews describe Mr Khan as unhurried, friendly, and truly caring. I had the complete opposite experience. Firstly, and most importantly, Mr Khan gave me an incorrect prescription. The dosage was unclear and it would have been extremely dangerous for me to take what was written on the prescription. When I spoke to Nicky, she and Mr Khan denied that they had given me the incorrect prescription and took no responsibility, instead simply blaming the pharmacy. Nicky asked me why I didn't just use the online pharmarcy. I was not told about the online pharmacy (because the appointment was so hurried?). In fact, I specifically asked Mr Khan where I should collect the prescription and he said my local pharmacy. Luckily, I double checked the dosage I was being prescribed online but this was not at all clear. After paying £140 for the incorrect prescription, I was grateful that Mr Khan offered me a £100 reimbursement but in the same phonecall, Nicky then asked me to leave a review, stating that Mr Khan had (I quote) "bent over backwards" to help me. This NOT the case, as it was Mr Khan's fault that I received the wrong prescription in the first place. It says on the website that the initial consultation should last around 30 minutes. Well, I was in the waiting room for 45 minutes, but only 5-10 minutes for the consultation, in which time my file was read (surely this should have been read before). I didn't meet the friendly man that Mr Kahn is described to be. He barely looked at me, asked me a few questions to which he had no reply to, and didn't smile once. I actually felt quite uncomfortable sat in his office. I have paid almost £1000 for 10 minutes with Mr Khan, a blood test and a cervical screening, as well as medication that has not worked for me - it has in fact done the absolute opposite of what I was hoping for. I understand that there isn't a clear fix and you have to try different things sometimes, but it feels like there is absolutely no care and it is instead all about the money. Surely there should be some check in or follow up to see how I'm doing/reacting to the medication - especially for the price paid. What Mr Khan prescribed me has had a horrible effect on me and I'm in a really bad way. You have to pay a further £200 for a follow up consultation, otherwise you'll never have any check-in to see how it's all going. I'm very happy to pay this for a clinic that is actually good, but not this one. I emailed Nicky to see whether I was likely going to have to have more tests in a follow up consultation (meaning more money, so I was just checking) and was instead phoned to book in, as Nicky said she's "not medical" so I was asked to pay £200 upfront and book. Nicky comes across as a very nice person throughout the process, until you say anything slightly negative about your experience/Mr Khan, at which point she turns very unprofessional and blames your bad experience on you. To quote from one of her emails to me when I emailed to complain (please note that I did not ask for any money back or "blackmail" them as Nicky accused me of. "What is it you want from him? He already has given you money off which I told him for…. Sorry I can not abide someone speaking so awfully about him when it is not true. So as for the previous email please go ahead Miss Jones, no thank you and free to do what ever you want but blackmail – Absolutely NOT. So disgusting and shocked Miss Jones." The only thing I got out of the appointment was finding out I have a condition that the cervical screening picked up but I was told nothing about the condition or advised how to deal with it at all. There are much better clinics out there so do not waste your time or energy on this one. EDIT: I didn't leave positive feedback prior to this and was not offered a reduced consultation fee. Lies.

The positive reviews are all true . Mr Khan is an amazing professional; extremely knowledgeable and skilled. His communication skills are second to none. He takes time to listen and his consultations are unhurried and thorough. Most importantly he build trust which is really essential if you are anxious. I will be using Mr Khan again and I have recommended him to all my friends and family. I cannot praise Mr Khan and Nicki highly enough. I am grateful that I found them.

Mr Khan was brilliant. I had been dubious about going to a male gynaecologist but saw him due to it being urgent. I am so pleased I did. His radiographer was thorough prior to the consultation and then Mr Khan was clear at explaining, helpful and professional in the physical examination, reassuring, knowledgeable and an asset to the profession. I would truly recommend him if you are needing gynaecological advice for all age groups. I wish I had seen him when younger to have a better understanding of why I have had a life of heavy, painful periods, why I need to be careful with hrt choices now and what to look out for in the future.

Wonderful experience with Dr Khan and his personal assistant, Nicky! I was very anxious having received my smear test results and was searching for a gynaecologist to carry out my colposcopy. I’m so grateful I came across this practice and saw Dr. Khan came highly recommended. He explained my results to me and recommended what treatment options are available. I came across Dr Khan when searching anxiously for a consultant to carry out a colposcopy. I can gladly say it was my lucky day that he had an appointment for the next day. I went into his room as a nervous wreck and came out feeling safe and reassured. I have had to visit the Harley st area of private doctors many times with problems I have had with my health but can easily say I have met very few like him. He sat down next to me, took his time to explain what my results are, what happens next and what our plan is. No rush! Not disregarding my emotions. I didn’t feel like a number walking into his room in and out but as me with my journey speaking to someone that is there to genuinely help cure. He is a kind, humble gentleman with immense experience. Thank you to Dr Kahn, his secretary Nicky and nurse Kourtney. Their like the three musketeers!

I really cannot recommend Mr Khan highly enough. He has an incredible and rare balance of utter professionalism, skill and experience, with deep empathy, compassion and warmth. He took such great care of me from my first consultation with him, through biopsies and tests, and I felt total trust in his expertise. He recognised my anxiety and did everything he could to reassure me, as well as expediting the procedures I required. I am so grateful to have met Mr Khan and I feel enormous relief in placing my health in his hands; I cannot think of anyone better.
