I purchased my Cannondale Topstone from these guys on 28/12/22. They could not be more helpful even for an older guy like me. Strongly recommend you visit the showroom which is deceptively large and carries a lot of stock. The bike is running well and its just the rider who needs some servicing!

I have been a regular customer for over 10 years at Hargreaves cycles having bought parts and services my bikes … I must admit I have just been greeted with greed and poor customer service from the shop owner who behaved in such unprofessional way on my request to service my bike that left me speechless …. If I may summarise my thoughts : avoid , poor customer service , filthy attitude in a filthy Victorian shop , overpriced and greedy.

Called in for a full face helmet,didn’t have my size so Paul ordered me one.picked it up today,again I’m very happy with the service provided.everyone into cycling should use a family run friendly shop like Hargreaves’s not EBay or Halfords (which for such a large company don’t even stock bar ends or adults full face mtb helmets) .try Hargreaves’s you won’t be disappointed.

Purchase my bike from them on a Monday they went out of there way to drop it off on Tuesday witch is there day off after a week of use the chain and gears had bedded in and needed adjusting they told me to come straight down and was sorted instantly this is now my go to bike shop. Fantastic staff Great shop 5* all the way

Dropped a rear wheel off first thing Monday to have a spoke and nipple fitted and wheel truing , phoned Thursday to enquire and was told that they have not got around to it and it will be done Friday so popped in Saturday to collect however nothing had been done. I took the wheel back and went to another bike shop who told me they would have it done within the hour. Don’t waste your time with this bike shop as they will waste your time, Kama is a strange and wonderful thing and I’m sure it will play its part in the demise of this bike shop.

On the upside, I got a better bike than ordered, as it was what the supplier sent them, which is the only reason for 2 stars. On the downside - shocking, indifferent customer service. The last bike I'd had was a £200 one that I'd had 20 years old, so I felt it was a reasonable question to ask for a brief 'tour' of my nearly £2000 purchase of a Cube E-bike. Instead, I was made to feel that asking questions was an inconvenience, and I felt almost pushed of the shop with the attitude of "there's your bike, see you later". When I asked about accessories (stands etc), I got a shrug of the shoulders like other reviewers and was told they focus on selling bikes, not selling accessories. When it came to servicing, that also felt like an inconvenience and I was told it wasn't their core business when I asked about after-sales service packages! I wouldn't use Hargreaves Cycles again in a million years as they come across as grumpy, arrogant and trading on a history that perhaps used to be good once a long time ago. I would rather give my hard-earned money to another company and even pay a bit more for a far better service - as I have now done with a new bike order elsewhere.
