We travelled to the Carpenters from Helmsley for food. The place was nice with good service, however my wife and I had steak and ale pie, chips and vegatables in which there were three chunks of unchewable gristly meat, as we had paid £17 for each meal, I didn't think it would be too much to ask for the meat to be lean. We advised the staff who said they would tell the chef but we weren't offered any form of recompense. We won't be going back.
