I can’t express to you what a gem Jackie is; but I’m going to try. We needed to train our 16wk old Pom but we were also due to be away for a week for work so we chose to kill two birds by putting our dog in for residential boarding. It was an incredibly hard task to not only find someone with availability but someone I would trust - I didn’t feel a connection with anyone until I spoke with Jackie. From the first moment I felt at ease and safe in the knowledge Her facilities are incredible. Safe, secure and spacious and she has every base covered from finding the right food to suit your puppy to a perfectly fitted harness. There’s no rushing when it comes to settling in. She takes her time to talk you through everything, how she approaches training and goes over what you’d like to achieve. When we left we knew we’d made the right decision to leave our pup with her. Throughout our time away Jackie would message with videos and updates and it was clear to see he was thriving. Upon return we were given a full two hour handover session at her place and then she returned the following week to our house to complete the training with the children learning tips and tricks too. I have no hesitation in recommending Jackie - the techniques work a charm and she is a breath of fresh air! We will absolutely be booking in with her again in the future.

I found Jackie and Happy Dogs when I was looking for training and socialising support for my 12 week old lab puppy. After an initial session with Jackie she had him sitting and walking nicely on a lead within minutes. Jackie has a natural affinity with dogs and they instinctively seem to respond to her. She is able to build an immediate rapport , quickly developing their trust. My family dogs did not accept my new puppy, so I approached Jackie for support. After a two hour session Jackie was able to demonstrate techniques to use at home to manage the situation and although it is still a work in progress, Jackie has given me the tools and the confidence to cope. My daughter has a Shih Tzu cross that is extremely dog reactive. She has tried various dog trainers in the past without success. Jackie has been able to get him to be relaxed in the company of other dogs and has also increased his own self confidence by way of her socialisation course. I find Jackie’s straightforward approach refreshing and can honestly say she has made a huge difference to the quality of life of my daughters little dog after only two sessions. Jackie is happy to work with you and build up a training schedule that works for you and your dog. I can wholeheartedly recommend her services and look forward to working with her in the future.

So glad we found Jackie to help us with our Staffordshire Terrier puppy. Jackie is great with all the dogs she looks after and has helped us to get our pup well socialised, listening to us and walking nicely on the lead. She is very knowledgeable about different breads and their traits and how each type needs to be treated and trained so they remain well balanced and happy around people and other dogs. Great facilities and lovely to see all the dogs mixing and playing together with our pup in the paddocks. I'd have no hesitation in recommending her to others nor leaving either of our dogs in her day care.

Jackie was great. Really helpful with desensitising our fear reactive dog and gave us some great advice on how to improve his reactivity around other dogs, people and outside scenarios.

Blue was very aggressive and we went through quite a few trainers until we found Jackie. Not only has she got Blue to a stage where she can relax and just 'be' around other dogs but she's instilled so much confidence in us when handling Blue and other dogs. Jackie was quite literally our last chance and Blue is doing far better than we ever imagined. It is such a unique environment where Blue (and us) can meet other dogs in a safe and secure way which we would never have achieved anywhere else.

Happy dogs training has changed our dog Nala completely, she was very nervous around other dogs, and found it very hard to interact. After a few weeks of socialisation training she was completely changed, she has so much confidence, Jackie is a brilliant, patient trainer and with a no nonsense approach. I’d recommend Jackie and Happy Dogs training to any dog owner that wants a happy, well trained dog.

Would not recommend. Thinks it’s ok to throw them into a cage if misbehaving. Ended up not going back as she was hitting my dog in front of me, god knows what she had done when I wasn’t there. I could hear her calling the dogs ‘fucking idiots’ not professional at all! My dog is so much better now he has left with professional help!
