I've started my Muay Thai journey almost 10 years ago in this very gym, and I still remember being a lost guy with no purpose in life back then. Even though I'm still struggling with depression and addiction, Hanuman Thai Boxing feels like a safe place to come back to when my mind and thoughts feel heavier than usual. Wojtek and Roan have helped me a lot during that time, prepared me for all the professional fights. It's not just the gym - it feels like a second home! Once you start going to classes, you belong to this place. Everybody is equal, no matter what they're dealing with in life. Highly recommend this place for all - you won't regret it. It's worth every penny.

Huge thank you to Wojtek, Roan, Sandra and everyone else at Hanuman. I learned so much both technique-wise and also life lessons with my brief time training here whilst travelling. Super friendly and powerful atmosphere, high quality equipment, legit knowledge shared and experienced coaches. I felt very welcomed here, they treat you very well. No matter your skill level you must check Hanuman out.

Really not a good gym as review imply, boring and repetitive sessions with the same stuff repeated (likely copied from online training sessions someone’s put on youtube). One coach’s sessions consist of 50 mins of talking and 10 min of actual work. Sessions are for your average office guy/gal who comes in, has coaches shouting at you that you’re doing good just to make you think you’re doing well and get you to keep going there. Sometimes they don’t even say anything because they think you’re a lost cause and don’t want to waste time since all they do is spend time on their “fighters” and “fight team”. Pretty sure they get people to write good reviews to improve their image when this place really is very mid. Honestly for the money you’re spending you’re better getting a normal gym membership and a PT so that you can get proper results.

I used to think that getting punched in the face was something to avoid at all costs. But after training at Hanuman Thai Boxing, I've come to realize that it's actually kind of fun. Maybe it's the endorphins, or maybe it's the fact that the trainers are very sound and make getting beat up seem like a good time. Either way, I highly recommend this gym to anyone who wants to learn Muay thai, self defence or just get in shape. Just be warned: you might leave with a few bruises, but they're totally worth it for the laughs and proper blowing workout you'll get in return. Thanks lads for teaching me that getting hit in the face isn't always a bad thing

joining hanuman is one of the best things you can do for your mental and physical health. i started out with hanuman a year and a half ago not having done much serious muay thai training and through the fantastic coaches and facilities i gained the confidence to step in the ring. i would thoroughly recommend hanuman to anyone whether a beginner looking to blow off some steam after work or a fighter looking to improve their game.

This is hands down the best Muay Thai gym in Edinburgh. Everything about this place speaks excellence, from the way the coaches run classes, to how they interact with students, to any online queries you may have. Everything is always dealt with extremely professionally. You are always made to feel really welcome and just generally a great atmosphere in the place. They always have things going on in and outside the club and want students to reach their full potential. Examples of things going on in the club: inter club meets, sparring sessions, 121 with coaches and also a new initiative recently been launched, the Amateur fight league. Whether you just want to get fit, learn self defence or train for an amateur fight these guys and girls have got it covered. They also run female only classes so if you would feel more comfortable training with just other girls that is also available. There is also some sessions running weekly aimed at mindfulness and meditation so if that’s your thing this is available too. If your a beginner or a seasoned pro, regardless of your level you will thrive in this club. There is a selection of different memberships available where you can pay per day/ class , for the week or for the full month. Whatever suits your needs. Just contact them and they will give you a quick reply to your query. Don’t hesitate get yourself down Hanumans Edinburgh
