    Lovely looking hotel, bedroom was well decorated. However I can't even give it 3 stars as the smell in our room was so pungent it kept me awake all night. As we were at a wedding during the day, we did not get into our room until around 11.30pm and when we did we realised there was obviously a drainage problem in the bathroom and the smell was so intense I had to sit by the window for some of the night! In the morning we did let the receptionist know who was apologetic but I was disappointed that she didn't offer any money back for the poor night we had considering we had spent around £120 for the one night. There was a night porter that we could have told during the night, however the lady on the desk did confirm that there wasn't much he would have been able to do (seemed as though there weren't any other rooms to move to). So I am very disappointed and tired come today and resenting the money spent and the way the complaint was handled.

    The decor was lovely. Very slow service at the bar for a pre dinner drink. Great food. But again service slow, had to ask for more wine. Vegetarian options: Great starter
