This is an annoying one really. The room was nicely furnished to look at however there is a lot of wear/tear that needs attention. In this instance there were several large hole with exposed concrete above the window in the room, the bed had been "repaired" with plywood that had some exposed screws & would make a lot of noise at even the slightest shift in weight and many of the sockets had seen excessive use so that plugs didn't stay in. Generally quite disappointing on that front. The staff were polite at check in and generally helpful. Parking was a bit confusing and poorly signposted however this may be due to nearby construction taking place

- The breakfast is served on plastic red trays, like in some 3rd world cafeteria and there's no salt and pepper on the tables in the spirit of austerity. It has no fresh vegetables or yogurts or anything but the most basic of foodstuffs - The overextended coffee machine just delivers something that looks like coffee, though it is undrinkable - The 'fitness center' is just decrepit small room with crumbling wallpaper and 1 treadmill - The location is okay if you're commuting to downtown London during the day, but there's a lot of riff raff all about at all times of day and night

Rooms: Rooms small and basic, ok for 2 people, for families (3 people) very tight. Room and bathroom was cleaned every day, however cleaniness should be improved in general. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Nearby activities: Restaurants, shopping possibilities quite close to the hotel. Boxpark is a good option for dinner with plenty of choice of street food. Safety: Homeless people in the surrounding, but we didn't feel unsave. Walkability: 5 min walk to train station East Croydon, easy, much and fast connections to London Bridge, Victoria. Food & drinks: Basic warm and cold british breakfast, same choice daily. We missed fresh fruits, vegetables and bread, only toast available. Friendly stuff who cares about breakfast guest, especially kids.
