Daylight robbery! In the cost of living crisis I have been issued a penalty charge of £146 for crossing a bridge I had no idea was a toll bridge, I received no notification or reminders apart from a bailiffs letter last night, which has caused me distress and anxiety all night. I’m a single parent and find this absolutely disgusting from a council that is paid by the tax payer! You’re suppose to help us! Even so I am not even from around the area and will never be returning that way ever again!

The bridges in this borough are used to penalise motorists. a short window is permitted to pay followed by unreasonable penalties. Don't use them :)

Rare experience with council. Today I had to contact the HBC and first time I spoke to this gentle person called Jonathan/John who really seems to be caring and understanding the problem fully. He definitely wanted to resolve the issue and answer all my questions. God Bless Him and everyone that’s committed to their role like him!
