  I’ve just had a new sliding door installed to replace the old one that wouldn’t close properly. I am extremely impressed with the service I’ve received. Halstead glass quoted quickly, clearly and reasonably. All members of staff were polite, friendly and well organised. The work itself was carried out efficiently, to high standard and tidy.   A great experience all the way through and lovely to deal with a local family company. The initial visit was very helpful, with no pressure and lots of great ideas and the site survey very thorough. The installer, Craig, was brilliant in every way and kept going despite pouring rain and a howling gale. Our new doors look great and we would thoroughly recommend Halstead Glass.

  We have recently had a replacement front door and a personnel access door to the garage fitted by Halstead Glass. The quality of service, products and the professionalism of the fitters is a real credit to the company. We chose Halstead Glass as they have provided all of the windows previously to the same high standards, I would highly recommend them based on the work they've carried out to our home. 100% customer satisfaction.   Wow. My 91 year old Grandma had an issue with her backdoor, these guys were out within minutes and fixed it immediately to a high standard. Wonderful to encounter a company so caring about its customers, highly recommend :)

  My parents recently had there conservatory roof replaced by Halstead Glass, the service received from start to finish has been superb, from George coming out & quoting, to the chaps actually carrying out the work, to the plasterer & Nicki in the office.   We ordered 2 replacement windows from Halstead Glass recently and we have been delighted with the service we have received from the Company. From our initial consultation with the Sales Director through the measuring up to the actual fitting we have experienced professional, courteous service and we are totally satisfied with the quality of the windows installed. The choice and prices were carefully explained to us, all our questions were fully answered and all appointments were made on time. The prices were competitive and the installers were professional, friendly and efficient. We were delighted with the high standard of customer service and will now be using Halstead Glass for a replacement front door next spring. Highly recommended.

  Review submitted: 10/08/2021 Edited: 18/10/2022 I originally contacted Halstead Glass in March for a composite door quote. One of their salesmen came over and talked through our various options. Our first impressions were good, he seemed knowledgeable and polite. I expressed a few of my concerns and asked whether it was possible to request one of their better fitters to ensure that the fitting wasn’t rushed and finished to the highest standard. He said we could, but it may mean waiting longer for the door to be fitted which we were more than happy to do. I had personally seen a couple of their installations which weren’t up to standard, hence my concern. We received our quote via email a few days later. We decided to get a few other quotes for comparison, but ultimately decided to go with Halstead Glass as they were local. Once we’d finalised our colour choice, I replied to their email with some questions regarding their guarantees. I also asked whether our quotation could be amended to include some options which were mentioned to the salesman at our initial discussion but weren’t listed or specified on the quote. After 2 weeks of not receiving a reply I called Halstead Glass and asked to speak to the lady who had sent over our quote. I was told she was on leave but that she’d call me when she returned. The guy I spoke to was surprised that she hadn’t replied to my email as she’d only been on leave for a day or two. A further few days passed and still no reply, so I called again. This time I spoke to the lady I’d been dealing with via email who said that she’d reply ASAP so that we could proceed with our order. Later that same day, I received an email from the salesman which said that Halstead Glass were unable to accept any new composite door jobs until further notice due to a delay in raw materials. He also said that they were actively looking for alternative suppliers and would be in contact as soon as they had heard back from them. I was confused and annoyed as to why none of this was mentioned by the lady on the phone if this was the case. After not hearing anything for 5 weeks, I called again and spoke to a different lady on reception. I asked if they were now taking composite door orders and she seemed confused. I explained what the salesman had told me via email and asked whether they had ever stopped taking orders. She confirmed they hadn’t, and that the current lead time was 3-4 months (which is what I was quoted initially anyway). They were also still using the same manufacturers!! Why was I told that they had put a stop to new composite door orders if they were only experiencing small delays? I was then put through to the original lady I’d been dealing with who I hoped would be able to offer an explanation. She seemed ‘unaware’ of the situation, even though she had been copied into the salesman’s email 5 weeks prior. I asked if we could be offered a goodwill for the inconvenience which she said she’d check. The salesman later emailed me, he obviously didn’t want to explain himself over the phone, apologised for the late reply to my initial email back in March (but offered no other apology) and finally answered my questions (since I never received a reply from the lady). He didn’t explain why he lied to me about Halstead Glass being unable to accept any new orders of composite doors, and didn’t address my request of a goodwill. The email also said that they’d be in contact with their manufacturer to discuss an error in their brochure (which I flagged at our initial discussion). After not hearing anything for 3 weeks, I emailed again. It’s now been 5 weeks since my follow up email and surprise surprise still no reply. Halstead Glass obviously can’t be bothered to answer simple questions regarding their products and would prefer an easy sale and customers who don’t question a sub standard fitting. I agree with another reviewer who said that the salesman they had completely changed his tune after their initial consultation (I can only assume this was the same salesman we had based on our experience).

  Can't recommend Halstead Glass enough. We have just had front door, back door, bi-folds and windows installed. From start to finish they have been professional and courteous. Their whole team have been amazing and we would most definitely recommend them. No delays, great communication, nothing a problem, including several redesigns of an unusual window. Thank you Team Halstead Glass your customer service is excellent.

  Have had a great experience with Halstead Glass from sales to fit. We had all our windows and doors replaced throughout. Team of 3 ( Luke, Alan & Taylor) were here for just under a week. All the guys were friendly, professional and respectful of our home. Advised us everyday what they would be doing and we are extremely pleased with the results. Everyone (even our Post lady) has mentioned how nice our new front door looks!! All the of staff we dealt with were very helpful. We would not hesitate to recommend Halstead Glass to anyone.
